    Evening all:
Was supposed to go ice fishing tomorrow!
Took a set of Korker cleats off the boots, and installed a different set of cleats. Looked at the boots and the rubber ripped that holds the new cleats on, BRAND NEW; NEVER USED! :annoyed:
Went to put the old ones back on, and can't get them back on. :notsure:
Been trying for about an hour and a half, don't know what's going on! :annoyed:
Should have let well enough alone!

No snow here, but we got a severe case of vog the past few days, as the wind has been blowing from the south. I can't even see the top of the mountain behind my house, which is only about a mile away. It really sucks if you have respiratory problems. I've noticed that my eyes have been sensitive & a little burning. Other than that, weather's been great, temps mid 60's to low 80's, with hardly any rain.

Somebody has to go shut down that damn volcano, it's been erupting for too long...

Yeah Mike, normally our air quality here will clear up dem lugies, but right now it sucks. It won't be good for Nat'l TV this weekend with the Sony Open. But I bet even with the vog, you snowbound Mainlanders will still wish you were here. Sorry, getting a little sassy here.

If any of you are watching the Sony Open on Sunday, look out for me in the Budweiser tent on the 17th green. I'll be the drunk in the first row, yelling at the players to "throw the ball" to us in the stands.

Yeah, I'll hold up my beer. Pretty much every time I've sat there I've been caught on TV, as the 17th green gets a lot of coverage.

 We have one of those. Gives me that small bit of reassurance that I'm not going to try to power the entire neighborhood with my little generator!

Wife is doing very very well. No pain meds anymore, swelling is clearly way down because her foot is rattling around in the cast. She does more and more for herself every day, but still using a walker due to being non-weight bearing on the operated foot; she can put it down for balance but the force applied is supposed to be 'walking on eggshells'. We've been hyper attentive to keeping it elevated above heart level, because we read that foot surgeries are unusually painful and that a good part of the pain comes from swelling and the body's inability to effectively manage it way out there at the end of the leg. Elevation is the best way to help the body get the job done. It sure seems to be working.

I'm still doing the chief cook / bottlewasher gig. Moved a bunch of firewood from the main pile to our sheltered spot just outside the door yesterday. My back is talking.

Morning All:wave:. Glad the Missus is doing good with her recuperating Dave. You need to take it easy on your back Dave. When my wife isn't cooking, my favorite dish is take-out:).
Gen-lockout looks good Mike. Hope you can kick the cold. Nothing worse then a lingering cold. :(

So, a classmate of mine just passed away very suddenly on Sunday. She & I were very close in high school, I mean VERY close, like intimate close. Never saw her since, and always wanted to get together with her to explain why I never kept in touch. (too complicated for me to explain) I am going to her funeral with a heavy heart & very mixed emotions. My message to you is don't wait until it's too late, life is too short.

I know that many at the funeral will be surprised to see me there, especially her friends, and it may be uncomfortable. Maybe I'll explain things to her friends & hopefully they will understand.

You don't need to explain anything. Your paying respect to her, not her friends
