That's going to be hard for him, since it's jb welded onto his bowl. And I'm not sure if Rechelon will do it under warranty....

My 'ambiguous' retrofit story. Housings seen here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...bhlm-no-down-time.247299/page-77#post-9430085

Brand new Retrofits received Nov '14. Passenger-side housing had moisture/condensation from Day1. After a heavy storm (Dec '14), there was so much moisture that the water collected in a small puddle inside the housing. Sent the passenger housing back to Burt for warranty, he sent them back 2 weeks later. The housing didn't look like it was reopened, cleaned out, re-sealed as I could see water marks on the inside lens. I reinstalled it only to have condensation in the same housing 24 hours later. I emailed Burt again, and his reply was to apply a thick bead of silicon where the housing mates against the lens. He sent me a photo as an example of the "fix" and trust me....it was not a elegant solution. I chose not to do this.

....and then the California drought of 2015 occurred and there was no humidity again to see if the housing was still moisture prone.

...Until El Nino hit (Dec 15-present)

The last few storm (Bay Area) to hit have left severe condensation in BOTH passenger AND driver side housings. It takes a day or two to dry out, only to leave water marks on the inside of the housing. I've PMed 'ambiguous' to report the problem and how I don't believe the housings were ever sealed properly. I have yet to hear a peep back from them.

$1200 spent.... used for ~13months so yes, its out-of-warranty.....so I'm SOLed.

Yes, the retrofit look great... the HID kit has worked fine. And I'm happy with the output and aim.

....but crap, at least the ebay-crap housings and depo housings don't have condensation/moisture issues compared to these retrofits.

So, Toyota should have just told thousands of people whose DTRL's melted the housings that it's on their dime to replace the headlight's that came on their truck? Nothing like having some shitty products out there to represent your company as a whole. Toyota did the right thing and replaced everyone's headlights that melted the housings. Seems Toyota realizes how bad publicity can cost you millions in sales rather than taking a small loss for some headlights. Mine were replaced at 60k miles with a brand new set. They also replaced my grill and all 4 wheels on my truck from, wait for it. Issues with the paint on the wheels and bubbling of the plasti-chrome on the grill.

Customer service is everything in this day and age because it will make you or it will put you in the poor house.

I came to this thread to inquire the services of having custom retrofits done for my 2016. After reading the last 10 pages, looks like I'll be waiting awhile for a more legitimate service that will do them. That's a shitload of money to spend for questionable follow-up service.
