The 2020 Annual Citrus Meet!

Well, you may have to step up and actually plot a course. @Rattletrap66 and @GuyHuey are pretty much the only other ones I know of that are really familiar with the area and both of them are apt to lead the same type of group I will.

 

I'm the same way though so people might get a little mad when the end up with some pinstriping I know @John4x4 and Ethan weren't to happy following me around out in ocala

 

people just need to slap a good coat of wax on their rigs and buff it out when they get home

 

Well, there's always @dirtymike and @Alfuh.

I know dirtymike knows his way around Citrus, but he's kinda like you in that he doesn't really have a plan on where he's going when he's leading. He'd be a good candidate for the Need For Speed group though.

Chris should know his way around somewhat. Not sure what kind of group he'd prefer to lead though.

 

well, as much as it would be cool to lead a group around, ive only been to Citrus twice lol with a year in between, I really dont know my way around there haha. I didnt really pay attention to the trails that much. Im also not a very good leader lol, dont know what it is about it...im just not good lol

Easy there Chris, no need to panic. Just thought you might be an option, but if you don't want to or are not comfortable with it, that's fine too.

Honestly, I wasn't that comfortable with it either at first because I had no idea where I was going. But after I made the trip up there with the intent to hit every trail out there and got comfortable that I knew my way around, it was pretty much not that big a deal then. Basically you just pick a course that you think will be interesting and drive it. Everyone else just follows you. It does require a little familiarity with the area though unless you lead like the Mikes (Thorny and Dirty ).

I still don't know the area like Ryan #1 did though. He showed us some interesting spots even if they were in verbotten areas.

 

oh im not panicking lol, i guess if I were to lead something, id at least need to get a real CB lol, not like my shitty radio shack one that only works like 100ft line of sight haha

Well it looks like i might be a maybe. i dont think ill be able to get that Saturday off like i had planned. If i do decide to go i wont get there till later that day. I would hope i get there in time for a group ride while its still daylight and go on a night time ride if yall plan on it

That sucks. It is what it is, I guess. There will definitely be a night ride you can get in on. As far as the afternoon run, it'll depend on how soon you can get there. For my group, at least, I'm going to try to have us back into camp for dinner while there's still day light left for cooking.

 

go with the 520xl since it has RF gain, definitely works great

Well, I'll let the uniden crowd speak for themselves, but you already know I'm a proponent of the Cobra 25LTD (if I didn't already have to old school models, I'd get the Nightwatch version).
