At $45, you can't beat the Uniden and how much bang for your buck you get. Everything else is just fancy bells and whistles

 

Haha, it happens. Actually, except you already said it was more than you were looking to spend, I thought the Cobra 25LX looked kinda cool. If I was going to get a new one, I think I'd probably give it a shot.

I think ill go with the Cobra 25 LTD, I dont really need the fancy light up in the dark features. I have no issues with my current CB at night lol. for $167, not bad for a real setup

 

Last time @Rattletrap66 lead a group I was in, we all got tickets....

Except the Cobra 25 is very basic. It basically has everything you need and nothing you don't. You're just paying for the Cobra rep...(I have two of them that are older than Chris and still work fine, if that tells you anything.)

That's fine. I just find myself wishing sometimes that I could see the controls on mine better at night, thus I'd pay the extra $15 or whatever to get that feature.

 

I could just jump straight to a HAM radio lol, but that stuff is too fancy

exactly, the Uniden runs $45 dollars cheaper and does the same thing

lol, I dunno....I just get the vibe looking at the uniden CB that it just looks cheap. where as I dont get that looking at the Cobra CBs. I know both are very effective at what they do, I just get a better feeling looking at the Cobra 25 over the Uniden

haha, I was directing that at Frank's comment in reference to me saying the 25LX looked cool. But yeah, the Cobra 25/29 LTDs look and probably feel more solid, although the LTDs do look a little dated.

 

I'll be with Group 2. I don't have to lead but I can be the communications man since I have a couple people's cell phone numbers.
Also I would like to add 2 more trucks that will most likely be coming up with me. Both are all terrain 2WD but in sure don't mind getting dirty.
