Exactly, makes that purchase so much easier knowing you're not going to have to hear about it later on.

I think I'm still going to still hold out for a full cat system my self.

Any reason? I've always read the Taco's already had a good piping system. That clip sounded
great the guy posted with the 44 on it.

She said the same thing about my tires also. I ended up with 2 new pair because of her(summer/winter). I wish she'd feel that way about my firearm purchases though.

I guess I'm still a believer that it flows more efficient. Maybe that old thinking still!

Awesome! I was planning on doing this too. Did you do any prep with the plastic or just spray the bed liner on? How durable do you think it is? Would hate for it to peek up. Also, what brand bed liner did you use?

That's how I used to think as well. I've seen many say we're already close to a custom
exhaust regarding the flow excluding the muffler and for the price it's win/win.

After the cat, the muffler is the only other part that is really the most restrictive part of the exhaust, so in the end I my end up with just an exhaust.

    Great minds... :)

My dog likes to catch some air when the windows are rolled down and I could see he was slipping around on the OEM plastics. They were scratched to hell from him 'ice-skating' all over them, so they already look a million times better after a few coats. Again, more than anything I wanted him to have some grip while doing so in the name of safety...

I used 2 cans of spray bed liner that I picked up from a local autoparts store, roughly 10 bucks a pop. I gave each panel about 4 coats, with final thickness between 1/32 and 1/16" thick. Definitely could stand to be thicker, but I don't think they'll peel anytime soon. Since the texture of the base plastic is somewhat rough to begin with, there is a good amount of mechanical adhesion. If you want to get crazy and rough up the the panels with 180-250 grit sandpaper, I'm sure the bed liner will stick much more solidly. I didn't think that was necessary for a 1st pass. For what it's worth, the panels are a cinch to remove. If you want a more robust coat, I might recommend buying a gallon and using a roller, however, the coating may not be as uniform as from a spray medium.

I'll update you on actual performance of this coating once I take the pup out for a spin.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I store alot of gear back there and stuff slides around too much so i was trying to find a good solution, and bed liner was one of them. I have never used bed liner spray before so i was hoping someone else had the same idea and would do it first so i can see how it works out :). Yours looks really good. I might just go ahead and give it a go. Seems like it should hold up for a good while and could always be redone or replaced if it doesnt work out. Who knows though, replacement plastic seat back things from toyota are probably alot of money. Toyota loves to charge alot for nothin. Keep up posted!

The sub box is custom made from the shop that installed it to fit the whole width of the passenger side back seat. The subwoofer is a 10" 200 watts dual voice coil Rockford Fosgate and the amp is a Soundstream Reference Micro RFM700.1D. The radio is the oem Premium non JBL. I like the sound of the oem radio but it is lacking some lows. I am used to having a sub on my Highlander so I installed one on the Taco. Couldn't be happier with this set-up. Even the commander-in-chief (aka the wife) who paid for this subwoofer set-up gives it a two thumbs-up!

Last week was my 15th anni at work. At each five year milestone we get to pick a recognition gift from a catalog. It was a hard choice between the Julia Child gormet cooking apron and a tool kit.

Not sure this will fit in the truck...but nice to have regardless.
