you say towing isnt standardized, but you want to say gov't mpg is?!?!?!??!?!?!

Anyway, there is a TON of proof that the twins get much better MPG. But that doesnt really matter. The point is, Tacoma wins is some areas, the twins win in other areas. Not one truck is a perfect fit for everyone.

Being objective in an assessment and giving credit where it's due, while being open minded to what is considered best for me.....and I'm what's wrong with America? hahaha

Pot....meet kettle! My IQ drops every time I read one of your posts

Toyota didn't have much competition. The Colorado/Canyon have the approach angle of a minivan.

    Stop being a twat.

If you can't handle the concept of other trucks being discussed by adults in a truck forum then put the keyboard down and go outside.

Yes, the gov't uses the same standard when testing the vehicles's mpg, the tow rating is purely the manufacturer's number. As far as I know, Ram and some Ford models are the only ones that use the J2807 towing standard so you can get an apples to apples comparison.

I agree that the trucks have their own pros and cons, and a lot of it just boils down to individual preferences. I see the Tacoma winning out in the most important areas for me.

Two guys just left in a new Colorado while I was waiting in my truck in a parking lot. They were both staring at the truck and even paused as they backed out of their space to take another look. I was backed in, just saying

Toyota was the first to adopt the J2087 standard and the only one to do so for a few years.

Good for them, hopefully the Frontier and Colorado/Canyon start using it too so all mid trucks are graded on the same rubric.

That is incomplete. Doing a quick search does show ALL Toyotas follow the standard. The others do on various models, but not all models. Although they might, I haven't seen anything to show whether the Colorado/Canyon specifically follow it.

You're right....they should probably ban anyone on this forum from mentioning any vehicle other than a toyota. If you're so American, why are you against free speech? Sound like a commie

And to clarify, I agreed that if you want a 4x4 truck for offroading, pick a tacoma. Guess your reading comprehension is off as well.

No sir you are WRONG! Manufacturers buying out magazines for fixed results only happens 100% of the time when its not a Tacoma......
