Love that, but I just hope I can keep up and make it. No locking dif. But I will be bringing doughnuts for everyone at the meeting spot :)

Am I correct in assuming that it's ok if I bring my wife along riding shotgun?

So, has there been any progress on a decision for MLK meet-n-greet? I would really like to see this firmed up or be able to plan something else...

Technically, anytime you are participating in an outdoor recreational activity, ie: camping hiking hunting fishing etc, you can conceal carry without a permit to/from your residence.

M best advice to you is to research Open carry laws. From what i understand this ia a open carry state in every county except king county.. i think.. if you want to conceal anywheres YOU NEED A CWP i do know that..

Check #8 on that rcw I posted. Just make sure you have your fishing/hunting license handy. Coyotes are open game year round BTW. :justsayin: Not to say I carry concealed into down town Kent for a trip to winco or what have you, I can't justify hunting coyotes @ winco, but I don't go in the woods without a pistol.

Also, king county is an open carry county. Since Washington is an open carry state, all counties are therefore open carry. There's also an rcw that says city's, county's and municipalities can NOT create stricter laws beyond what the state has already enacted. Basically any gun laws must come from the state senate not cities or counties individually.

Yeah, all counties are open carry, BUT... if you open carry in Seattle, you're opening yourself up to a police encounter when the sheeple freak out and call the cops on you. Although you can open carry, you're not allowed to "disturb the peace" or whatever RCW they throw at you when they ask you to either conceal or leave.

Having said all that, I'm actually a proponent of concealed carry versus open carry. I live and let live, you can carry however you want as long as you carry, BUT... personally, I like the element of surprise on my side. I don't need to be at the top of the "remove the threats" list for any psycho in a restaurant or mall. So, when hiking or camping, I usually conceal carry unless I'm sweating so bad that I don't want the gun touching me :)

Dang I'd like to join up sometime too, but working this weekend. I plan on purchasing lift kit here soon, I'd want to put that on beforehand. I know it does decent stock but the lift and better tires definitely would make it fun. Have a good time

I open carry when backpacking or hiking for encounters with coyotes ect. But I conceal when around people. Sad to think of... we can't open carry around people. But the animals don't give a shit...

Well, if there are no hikers around then I can see why you would, makes sense.

Out of curiosity, what calibers do you guys carry out in the wild? I know some claim 9mm is fine, but I've always considered .357 magnum to be the minimum, optionally 10mm. Going up from there would be even better.
