Talking about trannies. Remind me next time I see you to tell you about the trannie that wondered into our jobs site at 4am. Talk about the creeping feeling you get, like when you think you saw a ghost.

I'm wrenched out for a while. Still need nitrogen put in my shocks (4wheel parts, $25 each) and alignment but I really don't want the alignment because the shocks are going to settle.

Long travel really is a bitch. There are always little things you never expect with an install. Great Job tho! Once i get up and rolling i'm going to have to come and see that thing. Im going to have to wait on the alignment right now. Most likely until I get the rear done. I have shitty tires anyways. I'm not to concerned about steering wheel pull either. But as soon as I get the new tires its going to be the first thing I get done.

So I know why my transmission was leaking. I went to put the pan back on and the 3 threaded holes where stripped. Not all in the same spot so I'm hoping the bolts around it hold tight and seal the pan. If not then I'll have to pull the pan and drill, retap the holes for a little larger bolt.... I'm not looking forward to the project. Hopefully it seals :fingerscrossed:

Full length Rocky Mountain Rack with 40" lightbar, Alternating strobe rear dust lights. I used a warm weekend in March 2022 to finally install my brand new from old stock 2000 4Runner driver's seat. $800 directly from the factory in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
    This I gotta hear.

I've used them too & it really saved my month. About 25 yrs ago I had a learning experience as to why you put anti-seize on spark plug threads being installed into an aluminum head. :frusty: I spent about an hour silently freaking out. :goingcrazy: Then a pro mechanic friend of mine tossed me a $10 pkg of helicoils from Napa & I was back on the road. (22 yr old me -->) That engine lasted another 8 years.
