I think your fruit science is different than mine. I would make a climate change science joke here but that'll just piss someone off. Anyhow, I mean it would be useful to have the 1GR and a 2GR on the same dyno, to help in the inevitable shit storm of trolls and arguing that will erupt to defend/hate/love/be illogical about whatever the torque curve of the 2GR is. Apples-to-apples for me means I can look at the torque curve of the 2GR and compare it to the torque curve of the 1GR on the same dyno...removes more variables and makes the inevitable comparisons and validations/arguments over power feel less "my ass says" and more "the chart says".

If one comes through the shop would be happy to share the info. Can't think of anyone I know at the moment with a 2nd gen I could convince to go on the dyno right now but will try!

    ALLRIGHT!

Sooooo, hello you 25 users viewing the thread. Which of you is within driving distance of @Redbusket, has a stock 2nd Gen (preferably MT), and wants to do some fruity science?!

If it costs money, I will even chip in $10. Guessing not many folks have an incentive to pay to dyno a stock truck unless they plan to mod later.

I'd do it just for fun. And it should finally solve the 3.5 vs 4.0 torque curve bs.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, find another TW member with a 2nd Gen to compare against. I'm 100% positive this thread will cause a shit storm between 3rd gen lovers/haters if we only see one side of the story.

Dyno runs tend to run $200 - $300, at least that's what I paid each time.

I remember those guys - I used to be the USA tech rep for Dynapack many years ago... I think I even went there to set it up when they bought it. Good people :)

Just wondering, will the results of his truck with the manual be the same as an automatic with ECT on?

Eh, I'm relaxed. Might sound spun-up, but I'm not/wasn't. More just quirking an eyebrow that the shit giving started so fast. Impressive.

Ah crap, I didn't realize OP had a MT. Well, there goes the ECT testing.
