Firearm BS thread

I get that, but damn the changing environment in Cali is one to rethink. My Girl fiend grew up in Modesto and the Family business is still striving there for over a 100+ years now. We go back all the time and I am just in amazement of the political environment there I'm grumpy ready to haul ass after 48 hrs..

 

I could not do it as I buy some kind of firearm sometimes 2 or 3 times a month....

 

not to mention the 10 round magazine limit, stupid bullet button rules, absolutely no suppressors whatsoever, and a list can go on and on.

I grew up in the bay area but my job has taken me all over the country and I've been able to see 45 of the 50 states. I generally get to stay in whatever state I am for a few days at a time with a rental car so I've really been able to see a lot of the country. I know there's a lot of cool stuff out there that California doesn't have but my current job and my wife's current job have us fairly planted in California.

I couldn't do this in any state in the country. My wife would go to Congress to have a bill passed just to limit the amount of guns I buy.

 

Trust me I know the feeling if she only knew how many I really had.. She would be like WTF!!!

 

Va keeps up with it's attacks on us I will be out of here soon enough.....

I have been buying cases of 30 round AR magazines (6) so far and stashing them in attic. She had some people come over to look at doing some closet shelving and electric they had to go up in the attic to check out some possible recessed light location. I get a text that said "WTF are those boxes in the attic they say Magpul on them" have you been at the gun show again?

 

Oh yeah, I know all about that BS, lived in san diego for 18 years before I moved to Mississippi.
It's so different in Ms, I can keep a loaded firearm in my vehicle and be legal, where Ca has the whole unloaded and locked in a case in a place that can't be reached by the driver BS.

 

And I'm crazy enough to try and get my CCW in California. I know it's fruitless pursuit but I will try anyways.

 

Fuck it go for it I just applied for D.C. carry permit can't be any worse than that process.....

Va just canceled like 25 States and is going for another 9 more I think it is.

I have Fl,Va and Utah so I really don't need anymore but DC would be an awesome addition to the collection....

 

I'll be taking a CCW course in the next month or so. The don't want you to use a "pocket gun" like my Ruger LC9, nor do I want to use a full frame like my Beretta PX4 so that's why I bought a Glock 19.

 

Got an Email from the ATF today.

 

I have no idea but this past weekend at the gun show a dealer had one on display and it was one tough mother kind of like a heavy duty neoprene type material and has a zip lock type zipper closer

 

Has anyone ankle carried your gun?

 

I shot my buddies the other day a the range and it was a nice fun gun to shoot. I was really accurate with it.

I wish I could afford that many. My wife wasn't happy that I bought 2 the last 2 months.

 

you just need to buy them and hide them for about 6 months then pull them out and when she asks where did that come from ohhh its been put away for awhile and it needed cleaning....

I am very fortunate that my better half makes 3X's more than I and I get the benefits of that .......

 

I experimented with it a few years back. Uncomfortable and a bitch to draw in jeans. Forget about running. I probably didn't do it right.

 

Ankle holsters have come a long way a buddy has a Galco ankle holster and loves it. I wear khakis a lot in the winter and Im thinking of maybe trying it out since I have so many layers on....

 

Lol mine makes twice what I do and that's part of way she's not happy when I make unnecessary purchases. I need to just get an attic safe since she never goes up there

 

AIM surplus has $440 Belgian Hi-Powers right now. Rough shape externally. Trying to resist another project gun...

 

Need to get creative training.... But in all reality I have made all the large purchases that I need now I just get handguns here and there or an occasional rifle or NFA item. Plus I do HVAC side jobs to pay for my hobby so it's a no biggie most of the time....She's okay till she gets online and sees the damn price.....

Funny she didn't bitch because right after new town happened I took 3 50 count cases of 30 round magazines. Inside the gun show they were getting $80-100 bucks each I was in the parking lot selling them $65 each $3,250 a case that I paid $420 for out of the back of my truck... 150 magazines in 45 minutes.
