For some reason, I am super excited about getting another Tacoma. This is Tacoma #3, although not as nice as the first 2 that I had, I think this one will be more fun. :D

This is when I got it last Friday...

I just got back from NYC tonight, and stopped at my friends house to see how it was looking and this is it... :D

The future plans for this truck is to get it the rest of the way together and paint it ALL Flat Black. I will be selling the 3 aluminum rims, and I also have a brand new Factory Tacoma chrome grill that I am hoping to trade for a base black one.

I am also needing a little input as to what some things are, since they are missing and just hanging out under the hood... Any input would be great... :D

OK, this part of the harness has a white wire hanging out about 4-5 inches and I have NO idea where it is supposed to go to. any idea???
    IMG_3708_56804f6b351f4bb9b53c9dc5ca30e761c0d7b9be.jpg

What the heck does this cable go to? There is no cruise control on this truck...
    IMG_3709_30363d890568eff39c29140f3f1ad6dcdb6a7be1.jpg

Ok, this thing??? WTF is it, and where does it go???

This part of the wiring harness is cut at the firewall... What is it? Headlights??? We can't seem to find the wiring for the headlights, so were kinda thinking thats what it is supposed to be... Any idea???

The black-gray-gold-maroon color scheme is interesting. Good luck to you... it would be something if you could get that thing running and looking nice.

I think your best bet would be to find a willing donor truck and just park them side by side and see whats missing of off yours and where it goes on theirs. That and hunt junkyards down like a crazed lawman.

I have the Radiator, grill and all that... but the fan has a broken blade and the center support is missing, so there was no point to put it together any further until I get those parts.

I am surprised that you all are expressing the "good Luck" comments... I didn't think it was that bad. I have fixed worse.

Looks like the top of the evaporative canister which is usually on top of the drivers side fender well next to the master cylinder

^ awesome... thank you.... I figure I will be able to see it all easier once I get to the junk yard, but if I have an idea of what I am after it may also make it easier.

Man, I would appreciate that more than I could even explain...

I am looking to have about $3k in it once its done. I just picked up the 7 spoke steel wheels I was after for $50 tonight. I have a almost new (500 miles) set of BFG MT 31"s, all the front end body parts were brand new Toyota and included in the deal. Along with a Optima battery (free from my brother) and new Radiator. :D I may have been able to get a better deal but I got it from a friend/co-worker that was really needing the money. I have a very close friend thats a sales manager at a local junk yard, and he hooks me up. Once I can figure out what I need I should be set. :D

Yeah, it was wrecked in the front end.. the bed is original. the cab has been changed along with the driver door and frame. The people i got it from started to fix it and ran out of time/money. They had it for the last 4 years.

Man I envy you. Not only you but a bunch of others on these forums. I wish I had the knowledge to do this kind of project. My car knowledge is very basic and minimal but im learning (2 redneck roomates). I am really really interested to see the finished product. It will be a hell of an accomplishment. Whats the timeline you are looking at here?
