What is that?

 

So I was just checking under my front end making sure things were tight and all making sure things are good to go for citrus, and I've been having this slight pop when pulling into my driveway and wasn't sure what it was. Pulled into work today and happened just to pull on my driver side UCA and aparrently it loosened up at some point because I can move it slightly. I'm gonna need to tighten that bitch up after work

 

Repeat after me, "Witness marks are my friend."

 

I don't know what you're referring to lol. It'll get it tightened up. I've been meaning to get under there again, just haven't had the time

 

Google "witness mark" or "torque stripe"

 

Ah ok, that makes sense now lol. I will admit though, I have been neglecting to get under there. So I'm not surprised, I'm just glad I found it, do I'll be getting under there more often for routine retorqing.

 

Make a mark like most do on the drives haft so you can glance at a bolt to see if it's loose

 

X2 I have had lr uca's for about 5 years now and never had any problems. In fact I still have the old style shit bushings and never have had a problem. I cannot deny tc is a great brand but sometimes I think you might be paying a little extra for the cool "total chaos" sticker on the front. Just jmho. Either way tc or lr is a win win in my book.

 

Driver side hard line for the rear. I hit his with the grinder doing the shock mount so I'm replacing it

 

Who is up for a mod day next weekend? Need to get shocks all four corners and strut lift with OME AAL installed. Also where would this mod day be at??

 

Do you mean clermont? I do and I may cruise up there fri or sat for a few before work not sure yet. I have no idea where cleremonte is tho

 

Are you going to citrus? I have a bedmat for @mosquitoTaco ,if your going I can meet you and pass it off.

 

im glad I spent the money on a proper torque wrench, just got back from work and went under the truck and tightened up both pivot bolts for the UCA and the spindle nuts for the UCAs. the spindles werent loose at all, but for some reason both the UCA pivot bolts decided to come loose. So I just re-torqued them to 85 ft lbs as what TC says. good to go!

before I make my drive out to Ocala for Citrus im gonna crawl back under there and triple check everything, even the spacers.

 

Lol yes Clermont. Jeez . Yeah @NABeast has my bed matt and I haven't been able to get out that way to pick it up. You think that would be a possibility

 

Not sure what you have going on tomorrow frank @Rattletrap66. But we are taking the yaks out in mosquito lagoon at sunrise to see if anything is biting.

 

Dang man! Thanks for the invite, i'd have to be up pretty early to make it out there. Thinking about hitting up the bay though

 

Maybe I'll give you a better heads up next time lol. Just realized the weather should be good and decided to get the poles and yaks ready to load for the a.m.
