In anticipation of my bumper's arrival, I have a few questions for current Pelfreybilt front bumper owners. Does the trimming of the plastic air intake vent have any affect on the amount of cold air the engine sucks in? Would someone be kind enough to provide me with a pic of what the inside of the wheel well looks like with the trimmed plastic lining and installed Pelfreybilt bumper? Thanks!

Just trim them with a pair of heavy duty scissors or dremel enough so that it isn't seen if you are looking straight at your truck. If anything I would think it lets more air in..

Just trim them to match the sheet metal of the front clip and drill 2 holes in each so you can zip tie them to the front clip. I copied Marc (Sconniehailer) take a look at his build thread.

Sorry for the delayed response, but yes. You will have to relocate the solenoid for every winch i would think.

I didn't trim them...just tuck them up into the bumper wings and zip tie. Added benefit of keeping some of the dirt and crap out of the engine bay area.

That is a great idea! I was hopping to do something like that, but it was had to visualize without having the bumper installed. Thanks.

I can take pics of how I did it if you wanted. I think I zip tied the end of them to the metal braces under the headlights.

Ok, sorry for terrible pics. It is dark and rainy out right now. The liners are hidden at normal standing height...unless you get underneath like I did for pics, you won't see that they aren't a perfect liner running in line with the bumper wings. Works for me since it is just a truck and doesn't need to be perfect.

On the passenger side, I ran the zip ties through the slotted vents up to the brace under the headlight. On the driver side, I poked a hole towards the end of the liner and ran the zip tie through that up to the headlight brace.

@CanisLupus Thanks for taking the time to go out in the rain. I'll consider doing that.

Thanks @CanisLupus , excellent pics. Looks clean and a good solution for keeping that area relatively covered.
