All good bro. I still have a 07 Honda Odyssey as our third vehicle. That damn thing is just too useful to get rid of and it did well for the wife and kids when the wife was daily driving it. Of course now she's in a 2016 RX 350, but that van isn't going anywhere. Honda makes good shit. Some of it ugly as hell, but still good shit! :)

Hey, I'm just saying the truck looks like it's taking it's own picture. All it needs are uggs and a pumpkin spice latte.

Yeah, and to solve that image they drive a midsize light duty pickup instead of a 3/4 ton dually or even anything fullsize....

I'm suprised it took this long.

I'm a manly man and I drive a real truck! With a real engine and a real transmission out of a real unibody SUV!

    Wait.

    Fuck.

Payload is same on the 1st gen Ridgeline and Tacoma. Tacoma has slightly better towing. The majority of Tacomas, in reality, never leave pavement. So yes, the Ridgeline is a competitor for the Tacoma. For those who use their truck to bring home shit from home depot, and a place to throw their coolers and crap to tailgate, the Ridgeline is a better choice. And it'll be more comfortable and economical.

BUT ITS NOT A REAL TRUCK AND CANT DO REAL TRUCK THINGS BECAUSE SO FUCK IT IM GONNA GO TO WALMART AND BUY A GUN CAUSE I CAN DO THAT IN MY TACOMA AND YOU CANT DO THAT IN A RIDGELINE.

    I'd probably buy a Ridgeline before I bought a 3rd Gen.

But I'll be waiting patiently for the 2017 Ranger, and then it'll be between that, f150, and tundra.

Honda and Acura have taken a lot of flak in the past decade on their exterior styling. The Acura front grille design, crosstour, getting rid of the 2 door Acura lineup, etc. They are simply targeting a different market with their vehicles while balancing R&D spend. If they make a new Tacoma like truck, it's not just development $$ but retooling $$ in their assembly plants, new components, etc. Tons of R&D spend, and quite frankly there is likely more in it for them to sell fewer ridgelines if they build it off the Pilot vs ground up. I'm sure they have crunched the numbers.

Their R&D is more than capable... Just not pointed in that direction unfortunately (though the new turbo civic Si looks good).

I went to the auto show in Detroit today, all I can say is the Honda looks even worse in person... It's just small and seems more car like than truck like.... But if you want a smaller hood... Couldn't get inside but here's a few pics

Agree 100%. Seems a waste of what was a great company....and it doesn't help that Honda and Acura reliability has slipped to average.

I like it. I think it's a good looking vehicle, better than the last.
