they should be ok but nothing too special

    Q. Why is the U-Groove special?
    A. The patented U-Groove allows the flame kernel to fill the gap formed by the U. This ball of fire develops a larger and hotter flash front a complete combustion. The flat ground electrode design of ordinary spark plugs crush the spark, inhibiting its growth; this effect is known as a ?quenching effect.? The simple, but efficient, U-Groove feature results in better fuel efficiency, improved throttle response, and greater firing energy.

I feel like even if what they are saying is true it's probably a gimmick and doesn't have a noticeable difference. I'd like to see numbers.. but it's probably a difference less than 0.1% and that wouldnt be good marketing. When you replace old plugs with new plugs, regardless of brand, fancy tech it will feel improved.

Use denso OEM spec standard copper core plugs only in the v6 (unless supercharged)

Get Iridiums. They should last 100K. Mine are approaching 90K and running well.

I just ask because I ordered the standard plug and this is what I got. They were cheap, I'll put them in and try something different in 50k more miles... (Next year)

It's been a long time since I've seen these. Used them before in another vehicle. They performed no differently than any other plug I've used.

Those will work for the next 30K miles. That design has been around a long time in other than Denso. Really groovy plugs man.
I would go with the copper next time.

U11's are exactly what the dealer sold me when the time came to replace. Was even packaged in toyota branded boxes. You mean to tell me they are not copper core?

they are the same part number as in owners manual though

same plug, just happens denso added the groove for marketing purposes
and yes a tiny bit of truth but mostly adding a groove doesn't harm plug performance

Well when I'm enjoying my greater fuel efficiency and bigger flameballs, 300hp, unicorn dust etc. the $3 paid for each of these little technological marvel in-cylinder superchargers will be monies well spent

Those are the same plugs as the owners manual states to use, so you would be fine.
