I work at Walgrees... lol. You gotta start somewhere.

But yeah I'm 18 and I'm a photo technician at walgreens. I really love the job. Great hours and a really good work environment. I'm also a full time college student studying criminal justice. I hope to one day fulfill my dream of being a Georgia State Patrol Trooper.

This is a loaded topic for me. Right now, I work for Coca-Cola. However, back in November 2014 I was injured at work. I have spent the last 14 month on light duty. WCB has been after Coke for a while now to find me a permanent position that I can do. Coke has refused to do so. As a result, WCB is sending me to be re-trained starting February 1st. (No management at Coke knows this yet. I get to tell them on Monday.) The problem with this re-training is, the job I am going to be trained for is geared towards the oil industry. And around here that industry has laid off so many people, I could be in a tough situation soon.

    WBC?

Not sure about in your country or your local labor laws but, I know a few people who got the shaft from Coke...one sided stories I'll give you but high time people that seemingly developed issues when they neared retirement.

Got the same thing when I did aircraft painting. Except in the Navy we rarely paint an entire plane (at least on the military side, civilians typical did that), we normally did touch up work here and there.

WCB is Workers Compensation Board. As far as the union, well lets just say they are in the back pocket of management, so unless you are a friend of the president they are less than useless. Coke, is absolutely terrified of my claims manger at WCB. She has been great. She has told coke point blank, either find me a permanent position, or WCB will pull me out and re-train me on cokes dime. And that is what is happening.
