IMO it'd be an improvement to drop to .85. Obviously won't be as high, but my driving experience at .85 was way better than at 1.75.

Do that, you should be good - until you haul anything or tow of course.

Thanks for the input. What would be the disadvantage of towing or hauling at that setting?

How many miles on the stock leafs? I'm sure you get the hint by now, but with that added weight you're about where you should be with that setup. Drop the front and realign or put a block in the rear/swap a new leaf pack in.

It doesn't look like you're going to be doing any rock crawling with it so maybe dropping the front down a bit would be your best bet.

Well you removed the normal rake trying to level the truck, so extra weight on the rear end either towing or hauling a couple hundred pounds will make that rear end sag even lower, so the front end will be nose high until you're unhooked from the trailer or unloaded your bed.

Stock leafs have about 20,000 without the AAL, 31,000 total.
I definitely don't do any rock crawling, so I'm thinking dropping the front down is the best bet too. Also not looking to spend a lot of money right now.

    I would really consider RideRites.

They're $300 and can be installed with basic tools in your driveway in 3 hours.

You can set them to whatever you need, at any time. You'll never be nose high and you can keep your front end at 1.75.

If it was me.. that's what I would do if you have $300 to burn. If not, run the front at .85.

Gotcha. Do you think if I were to drop it all the way back down to 0" it would have too much front leaning rake?

I'll look in to those. Can I keep my current leaf set up, or would I need to change it?

Not at all, and if you haul or tow much, you might appreciate having that rake back. If not, the truck will look great at .85 - it'll just drag a little ass when you're loaded down.

    Keep it.

Or you could take the AAL out and sell it, and use the regular OEM leafs with the RideRites. If you sold them for $125 or whatever, that's almost half the price of the bags.

@wanna taco just installed them on his truck and also his son on his own Tacoma a month ago or so.

He can link you to the Ride Rite thread and answer any questions.

One last questions... With the ride rites, will there be any negative effects offloading? I don't do anything serious, mostly dirt roads, but no rock crawling, or anything that really tests the suspension. Will the bags limit the upward travel of the 5100's in the rear when they are inflated?
    Thanks

The bags flex pretty good, but they do limit the suspension a tad bit. On a setup like yours with limited off-road use you will be perfectly fine with them and will never notice them.

If you plan on flexing out the suspension you can add the Daystar cradles and they'll allow the bag to kinda float as opposed to be bolted at both ends of the bag.

    @wanna taco has those also. I think they're $60?

    Not a bad setup.
