I actually got a deeply discounted price of $1499 just by calling the company. Had to install it myself, but got it in perfectly that way.

If I had $1,700 I would have a baseball bat in my hand guarding it.

I have the Extang Solid Fold 2.0. Took me 20 minutes or so to put on myself. Easy enough. I would only use the extra mount brackets on the rear, as the front ones easily angle in to grab the bed rails firmly. In the back, you want the extra brackets to raise the overall height to make it easier to pull down the spring latches that you use to lock it down on both sides. Otherwise, I think it would just be overkill tension and harder to latch and lock the thing. Anyway, solid cover. It fits perfectly. Some say it's too short and small. I think it's designed that way to just perfectly cover the actual bed space and lessen the wear that the tailgate may add to the rubber seals if you open and close the tailgate over and over sliding on the seals. Less surface area sliding on the seals, the better in the long run. I ran it through the car wash. It does leak, but that's due to an opening in the front of the bed we've all seen, I'm sure. That can be easily plugged. And the water pressure shooting from the sides probably was harder to keep out than simple rain water coming straight down. Minimal water was in the sides of the bed, however. Nothing to worry me. I'm sure it will do fine this spring with rain water and maybe a little seal work at the front of the bed. You could easily steal the thing if you don't lock your tailgate. The thing sits on with just a few spins of a wingnut. And the back, you can pull up and peak in if you pull hard enough. I'm going to just keep the tailgate locked most of the time. Extang has a new one coming out called the Encore. It flips up in front and back. Looks very cool. But this is a solid cover, heavy duty, and it looks sharp! Under $800.

They are fine. They have horizontal supports.

This time of year the snow on my tonneau is measured in feet and often.

keeping a soft cover rolled up actually ruins the cover faster, at least for the access rollups.

Well the Lund I ordered doesnt fit 16 although online says it does. Havent decided what I want to do. Theirs wont be out for a month or so which doesnt bother me since the truck wont be here for a month anyways. Have to see if autoanything will just take it back and send me the updated part when it comes in or if they will have to credit me and i will have to buy it again. Sucks cause Lund had a $50 rebate on top of the 20% off.

I was about to ask if anyone had one of these on their truck yet and here it is! Don't have a truck to put anything on yet but I'm looking around ahead of time for covers. I sort of had it narrowed down to the Retrax MX Pro and the Diamondback truck covers. I need one that will be able to secure some gear that I would need to carry in the bed and would be hard to pry open. I know nothing is 100% secure and if someone wants to get in they will given enough time. They're both pretty pricey but most of the less expensive covers don't appear to be very secure from what I've seen. Truck Vaults would be the way to go but talk about pricey. Does it sit flush on the front rail of the bed?

Yes, the cover does sit flush on the front rail of the bed. With the caveat that you pointed out, a determined criminal can get into anything he (or she) sets his mind, I'll give my two cents on the security of the cover:

It is built really well. I've stood on it and have had very little flex. I'm not pushing my luck mind you, I paid a lot for the cover and truck and don't want to destroy either!

If I needed to break into it, I would attempt to do so from the back of the cover where it meets the top of the tailgate. I can get my fingers about 1/4 of an inch into that space, but that's it. I placed a pry bar in that space and attempted to lift it (I was being very careful not to damage anything) just to see how far it could be easily raised. I got about 1/4" of lift with medium pressure. I couldn't see anything in the bed because of the seal and it's just dark in there. I don't think you could get much more lift even with heavy pressure simply because of the fulcrum points between the cover and the bed.

I do wonder about the security of the Tacoma's tailgate handle set up. Since it's all plastic, I wonder if you could just take a hammer to it to disable the tailgate lock but I'm not going to try!

As far as the cover itself, I am very comfortable stowing my gear in the bed with the cover and the tailgate being locked. First of all, no one can see what's in there. Second, breaking in would take a lot of work and would create a lot of noise.

Picked this up today. It's a soft tri-fold cover. Only $375 Canadian from a local guy. Works great so far, washed the truck and just a little bit of water by the tailgate, nothing much though c9a53d52db116548954dfcc4dadfa62e_829036814c144a7bae66ef5b149f6c92dde75c10.jpgb1b30da8d21c2dca51ecfbb7564811b4_80e127a8a5bb24eb108c1b6065714a01ee3b0e8d.jpge19481d359949bb3ce75d8ee1881fee6_6bc23d70541d1c056123c647b5c5eaec0fd85eb8.jpg

Anyone have any experience with a Diamondback SE bed cover? I just ordered one. Looks like it will be 2 to 3 weeks before delivery though.

I just ordered the Bak revolver x2 today. I should have it in a few days. I will post on it after I get it installed. Both for the 6ft bed and the 5ft bed.

What happened to ExTang roll-ups ?

I have been waiting for the Express to come out since November and have been losing my patients.

I had one on my Gen 2 for 8 years and it still looked great.

How do you like the LoPro?

I'm considering this or the Access Lorado. I had a Lorado on my Fronty and liked it, but I like that the LoPro as the capability for quick removal if need be. You have a short bed and it may differ as I have a long bed, but how many support bars does it have? From a video on YouTube, there was one for a Colorado and it only had 2-3 bars. IMO, less bars = more sagging for rain.

Anyone measured the vertical space available with their cover closed? With or without the bed mat? I'm leaning towards the Bakflip and a bedmat, and have a 19" tall goalie bag I'd like to fit in there. Looks like it might be a tight fit, depending on how thick the cover is.

Looks like with a cover that sits on top like the Extang solid fold, and no bedmat, there should be 18 7/8" of vertical space at a minimum. The bakflip might be a stretch for my needs.

Has anyone installed an Advantage Torzatop soft trifold on a 2016 yet? I'm very interested in this cover.

The lever actuation is much lower profile and I think it will work well with an AMP XD Max bed extender. Anyone happen to have this setup?

I love this thing. Easy to use, locking sections, single lock.

Only downside is the sides leak under heavy rain. Its not much, maybe 1/2 cup of water for the whole bed. I have one of those industrial kitchen rubber mats, the rubber mats with the holes, to keep everything lifted a bit if I am hauling stuff so if there is any water, it stays under the stuff but like I said, its only like 1/2 a cup for the whole bed.

The cover attaches to the bed rails and they are still accessible
