When you get them post an update, I got what I was told were 4 runner CVS, long story but I sent them back. Just curious if they tend to send out Tacoma or 4runner.

I think I was sold the wrong power steering lines. I have a connector for a sensor that isn't on the lines. Any 1st gens could take a pick for me of the lines that connect to the pump so I know what I'm looking for. That's what happens when you trust ppl to give you the right part. Anyways.... So a pic would be nice. Thanks.

Ray, this is what mine has, it's just a couple vacuum lines that run to the intake. no plugs for sensors or anything. I have no idea what it does and doesn't seem to change anything when I remove the lines, but I have left them on anyway. I'm not sure why a pressure sensor would be needed on the PS system.
At the very least, plug the ends and see if the ecu gives off any faults when you are driving.

Were talking about the PS "idle up" switch. It senses load on the PS system and lets the ECU know so it can better maintain a stable idle under high steering loads.
At least some of the 4 cyl's used vacuum (big fitting with 2 vacuum lines) and a VSV. At least most of the V6's just used a simple pressure switch.

Can't believe i never caught on to that, every time I get in and grab the steering wheel, the idle would bump up slightly :anonymous:
    Learned something today.

Changed the oil, got the tires rotated, cleaned MAF sensor and throttle body, sea foam, and greased some of the ujoints ( need to do the double carrdon joint)

Still need to change fluids in both diffs, transmission, and T-Case - but I did spray all drain and fill plugs w/ PB Blaster - especially the dreaded front diff!

Good luck on the front diff, I didn't have any problems with it but I used an Allen socket and a medium breaker bar. Just make sure the allen key or socket you use fits very snugly or you'll strip it.

Front diff is easiest. Its 10mm allen. The rear gets more rusted and beat up.

    Always remove fill plugs first.

In my experience the front is the worst, I had to weld a nut on mine and a members here, Monte also had a difficult time with his.

My front diff required two trips to the parts store. First was for just a plain angled 10mm Allen wrench and I couldn't get a cheater on it or keep it straight. Second trip was for an Allen socket. That did the trick. Bastard was tight too.

When you change all the remaining videos, do you mind doing a video on how you did it? I wanna do it but I wanna do it right. Of course you don't have to but it would be much appreciated.

Okay...anyone with a 98-00! Do you guys have a 4wd indicator light? Like the little truck looking light on the dash? I can't seem to see one with a flashlight! And it obviously doesn't come on when I put it in four wheel drive!
