LED Reverse Lights:

Extremely easy install. Very happy with the results! A little brighter than stock, but much whiter and cleaner.

 

New Shakle:

Cheap, easy. A little tough to navigate around the BP skid.

 

Looks considerably brighter than the stock

 

I'll be able to give a better answer when the sun goes down. But yea, it's definitely brighter. I just can't tell you how much brighter. I don't buy that these are 800lm, but I still like them and would recommend.

 

Other then the d-ring shackle, whats the extra part you had to bolt on and whered you get it.

 

If I understand your question, you're talking about the Heavy Duty Tow Hook. It's made by Bullet Proof Fabrication. I got it for free when I ordered my skid plate, but I think they sell them for $100

 

@DeTako can you post exactly which reverse lights you went with? I thought I bought the right ones but I ended up getting something very different....

Also, I played around once it got dark outside. They are BRIGHT! The back-up cam looks like it's daytime. Very happy with them. Easy $20 purchase!

I made the dealership do it. They were hesitant at first, then I reminded them that I just gave them $36k. The service guy was cool about it, but the manager didn't want to. It takes them less than 5 min, so don't let them charge you a penny.

Just bought a 2016 Tacoma TRD Offroad and want to de-crome it. I love what you did to grille and door badges. How did you get those dipped? Cost? Do you recommend taking it to a body shop?

I have some experience using plastidip, so this came easy to me. With that said, anyone can do it with a little research and patience. No need for a body shop.

You should be able to dip all the badges and the grille with 3 cans. Maybe 4. Tape off the badges with painters tape and newspaper leaving about an inch of the truck exposed. Lightly spray a coat of PD. Let dry for 15 min. Repeat 5-6 times for a total of 7 coats. Let dry 1 hour. Peel excess. Done. For the grille, remove from truck, and PD it as if you were spraying anything else. Minimum of 8 coats to hold up to rock chips. Replace grille. Done.

Only a few lol. But hey, even though the wiring is fucked at the moment, the truck still runs and drives lol. I can push it out of my carport and then fire it up and drove away in its current state lol

 

Ordered this guy today... It'll probably be a bit before I get it, but man does it look awesome!
