I love this truck but god do I hate working on it, it's like that every time I do anything haha. Took me 4 hours to do a U joint a couple weeks back, rust is just a bastard. I was tempted to pull the sway bar honestly, I see a lot of people doing it around here.

Have the same front suspension as you. Much smoother without it in my opinion.

Went from this IMG_7052.jpg To this. Tracone with a large Thule Moab. The upper box is UWS dog collar box. I need more storage and a cap was just not cutting it. Not sure I like the look but it serves it purpose. IMG_7058.jpg FullSizeRender (5).jpg

Do you guys just make new holes in the firewall when running wiring into the cab, or find existing holes?

I always use existing holes. Slit the grommet for the new wires, then silicone sealant afterwards.

I'll probly end up taking it off sooner than later, but I do like to drive this poor truck like a sports car sometimes when it comes to corners. If the body roll isn't too bad I'll chuck the sway bar in the trash. Honestly the main reason I haven't wanted to take it off yet is because as usual, the bolts holding the damn thing on all look rotten. Haven't tried to put a socket on them yet though so may just be scale that'll come off. But judging by the fact that 2 of my 3 year old ball joint bolts broke off inside the housing when I tried to take them off I'm not all that confident.

My swaybar is stuck on...It'll stay that way until I have a serious wheeling trip come up that will require me to get medieval with it.

If I really want the thing off I'll break out the big red wrench. Just sucks that nothing comes off without a fight on these damn things, Toyota really knows how to engineer rust, that's for sure.

Thankfully a lot of those problems were fixed for me when I got my frame replaced, but some areas are still all rusted together. Oh well

Suspension, 33s, some armor... Rust, Gray wire and 2Low, and more. T4r is stock.
Is it just me or are all Toyota dealer service departments crap? I've worked with a lot of dealerships over the years. None are as consistently shitty as Toyota... If I didn't love my truck I would never again set foot in any of the local Toyota dealers.

So I know there are those of you out there that need to tune their CB radio setups and buying the SWR meter isn't exactly cheap considering it is a once in a blue moon tool. So today I picked a nice SWR/Field Strength meter up at Goodwill and as a courtesy to TacomaWorld and its fine users I will ship it free of charge to the next person who says they need one, with the one stipulation that they then send it to the next person that says they need one. So essentially you get it shipped to you free and then when someone else needs it you ship it to them on your dime. It comes with a manual detailing how to use it and a small antenna for its built in Field Strength tester (not many people will ever need the Field Strength tester portion).

So with that said, who needs to use a SWR meter? To keep track of the meter I've created a thread, likely the best place to post if you're in need of the meter.

Looks good! I swear I am going to put one of these on my PreRunner just so I can DARE some MF to fly around me one more time on the right side just so they can cut me off, slam on the brakes, and make a left hand turn in front of me. Sociopathic driving is reaching epidemic proportions even here in Kansas.

Guess a snow plow blade attachment would work too but kinda kills mpgs in my wind tunnel testing . . . o_O

Thanks, there have been similar ideas with custom and rare tools on a computer forum I'm on and it really helped me once so I thought I'd pass on the idea here.
