Guess rear end pieces are cheaper?? The body shop was pretty surprised how cheap all the parts were. All genuine Subaru parts too.

There's no way that's only "new body parts. They're going to have to cut and weld on part of a new body based on the C-pillar damage. These cars don't have "rear fenders" in the sense that it's a separate panel. It's actually an integral part of the body and not something that can be removed... I wouldn't be surprised if it totals $15,000 or $20,000 at that rate.

They've already dug into it......guy at the shop will be surprised if the final bill is more than $13-14,000. 70% is the magic number for total, still not anywhere close to that on a $37,000 car.

If they would've released the concept into production lets just say, I wouldn't own a Tacoma right now. One of the best looking concepts out there IMO

Looks really good, I went full Tacoma on my 15 and bought the base and immediately regretted it without the sunroof and fogs. Front Lip looks great, mine is sitting in the garage along with the rest of my pile of parts waiting to get installed :D

I got my spoiler included in the deal and got to keep my old trunk. With the minor engine mods I already have done I'll walk on a Stock STI already, once the whole build is complete it wont even be fair.

After owning a 2004 STI I really want to go back to one... I like the look of the lip spoiler instead of going full on boy-racer with the wing. I always loved that aspect of the car, but it attracted way too much attention. I'm fairly sure I'd go this route if I were to get a new one.

Any WRB ones out there? I've always wanted one... So disappointed I ended up with PSM (Silver) on my 2004

I wonder how that would turn out with a comparable tune on an STI.

I don't have any plans for mine ATM. I'm older and wiser now and don't need to go out and prove anything by getting into a speed contest with anyone. I wonder how many people will brag and boast about beating a STI in a race when all I'm doing is taking it to 2500 and shifting to the next gear.

Not bad. Yeah man I'm enjoying this WRX. First Subaru. Just added the EcoHitch and these rear bumper aprons. I love your rim choice.

It is an attention getter. Got pulled over already and was let go even without a fix it ticket for tint on a Friday Night/Saturday morning at 2:15AM. With the exception of clearance, this thing is a lot of fun.

If you ever want to sell those rims, hit up a TW member first. HAHA.
    Nice car.

I've babied mine so far, I usually shift anywhere between 3-4000 RPMs and thats if I'm driving it "hard" but I'm no complaining about the 26 MPG average because of it haha. Any speed comparisons have been simply for research with friends.

Naturally an STI with the same tune and future mod list is going to put down bigger numbers but at that point (with the exception of the forged internals, s-drive and creature interior comforts) what was the point in buying an STI other than the badge? For 1/5 the difference in sticker between mine and an STI I'll have all my above listed mods done and I'll be 30-40 HP better than a Stock STI. That was my logic when I got the car, plus I liked the Fa20.

Best thing you can do for these cars is dropping in an AccessPort, the factory tune is so mild that Subaru left a lot of power to be easily found. A OTS Stage 1 tune will yield a good 20-25 HP but what I noticed was how much more consistently the car builds boost. Having all the gauges heads up is a nice bonus along with the slightly better fuel mileage and what my service adviser told me is as long as you remove it when you take it back for service no warranty issues if you keep the tune mild.

dropped my 2015 WRX off at Good Speed Performance Lab on Monday night. Doing the EGR and TGV Deletes, dropping in the rest of my Mishimoto Parts and getting Pro-Tuned by Clarke Turner. Shooting for 305 WHP on the dyno on 91 and I'll be taking it back to them early January for the COBB Flex Fuel Kit and an e85 tune.

I've always really liked these cars. I was going back and forth with a guy on the highway in my Challenger a few weeks back. We got off the interstate and he went WOT out of the light in front of me, sounded awesome, and was literally spitting fire out of his exhaust.

So, my buddy has been driving around a 2015 WRX but has been eyeing the STi so today...he came home with my cars twin! He traded his WRX in for a STI Limited in the same trim and color.

Nice! I went back and forth for awhile on if I made a mistake not getting an STi but now that I have this thing built up a little bit I'm really happy and would do the same thing again. Dyno'd at 295 WHP on 91! just waiting on Cobb to release their flex fuel kit now.

An interesting bit of information I managed to scrum up about the FA20DIT "the FA has thinner rod and main bearings because the engine wasn’t designed to produce the power levels of the EJ. The engine was designed to be high-revving and efficient"
