    Haha, fortunately no :)

    That was my fear when I was doing it though. I had a kinda dull bit at the time and I was pushing it while drilling..... I guess I just cheated death and was lucky then :D

    a couple wraps of electrical tape around the drill bit,at the depth u dont want to go past,will act as a "stop"to keep u from going too far.

    My pleasure Cory.

    I was gonna get you the tailgate assist strut with it, but the tailgate cable is too thick and inflexible to play nice in the area shared with the tailgate damper. A few here on TW had them, then removed them shortly after.... including me.

    .... I learned this the hard way :mad:

    I have a dimple on my hood.... and my tailgate struts been doing fine for years... though the black wrap on cable is getting chewed a bit.... no biggie.
