If you ask. You don't know me very well!
Mesa, AZ to NM to OK to UT back to Mesa
    Vehicle:
2012 Red TRD OR 4x4 DCSB (aka Clifford the Big Red Truck)
12 OR DCSB 4x4 265/75/16 Goodyear Ultra Terrain wrapped on MB352's. OME 886's w/5100's front and back, and Dakars. Derped Emblems. KM Fab sliders, Mobtown Front and back bumpers w/tire gate, KM Fab Bed Rack, Bestop Supertop, Matt Gecko bed lights. Tree Smashed Taco 06 OR AC Prerunner! OME 885 with 5100's in front, TSB and AAL with 5125's in back. 30" light bar in the valance.
So, all this talk about CV's going out. How often do they need to be replace. The only reason I hate about getting a 4x4 is worrying about the CV's breaking.

It's not that common of a thing.. And if your serious.. And that was your reasoning for not getting a 4wd before.. You're doing it wrong.. :der:

I just have higher CV angles than most due to my Kings being adjusted how they are. I'm still ok with it, because they aren't too bad to replace, don't happen too often, they aren't too expensive, and I still prefer my clearance during compression.

I'd assume so but not for sure. When you call them the woman that answers isn't the nicest sounding lady but doesn't hurt to call

The reason I didn't get 4wd before is I didn't know any better at 22 yrs old. I also didn't have time to shop as my car had been totaled from being rear ended. If I had people like you to talk to, then I would probably have gone the 4x4 route. This time I knew better than to stick with 2wd. I love 4wd and would not go back if given the opportunity.

As far as the cv issue. I just keep hearing about people ripping boots, or having to replace the CV's all together. Maybe it's me paying more attention to that part and thinking it's more of an issue than it really is. 4x4 noob questions.

it just comes from wear and tear..to much angle, it puts stress on the boots and the fins actually wear through themselves. both of mine, although the fins do rub, were from just wear. Looks almost like dry rot. they crack and then tear.
