I got the armortech dual battery adapter. It will hold 2 34 series optima deep cycle batteries in the stock battery location. I just need to have it powder coated and then I will install it.

Update....had a little time to fiddle with the A-pillars a little bit. Ran all the wire to the back of the truck for the Phoenix Gold amp. I'm starting to worry that I won't have enough space for the amp power wires along the running boards. I may have to run the 8 along the driver side, then have the 4 go back to the console, over to the passenger side and back......what a pain
    Anyways, hers some pics!image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg
Oh I forgot, got my battery isolator today as well!image.jpg

I got them from another member in the forum. He got them from top acoustic. From what I understand they are difficult to get from them because they don't ship. (They are grime Taiwan)

So if anyone is interested, I have the two sets of passive crossovers that I didn't use. I bought the legatia L2X's and I have the two from the clarus set. Pm me if you are interested. I figured I would give whoever is following my thread first dibs.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been super busy. The only thing I have done is install the armortech duel battery adapter. I'm now waiting for funds to purchase two 34 series optimas.

The adapter I bought is specifically for those batteries. I may be able to build a new top to hold the batteries though. I personally like oddesey.

whoa, why are those crossovers so expensive? do car audio folks not know how to build them?

those legatia L2X are probably $80 in parts total.

also, how can they work with such a broad range of speakers? impedance determines crossover frequency, does their entire product line behave with linear impedance [this is impossible] ???

    sorry to go off topic.

They don't just have a woofer and tweeter input. They have 3 extra terminals where you can run hi or mid from and then a +3 or -3 db. All of their products are extremely expensive, but I already hear the difference with just my mid bass in my truck. I used to have Memphis pr series which are coaxial speakers. (Probably the best sounding I have ever heard for coaxials). I took all those out and my other tweeters that were running on crossovers and just my mid bass speakers from hybrid sound more clear. I seriously can't wait to have this thing done!

no beef with Hybrid. they are insanely popular products for a reason.

they were the first to capitalize wideband drivers in car audio.

i was just saying that a pair of 2way 12db/octave crossover network can be built for far less than $275. then again, it can be built for far more if you want to get into completely esoteric, small batch capacitors and fairy dust filled inductors.

I agree, but most people myself included don't want to take the time to build everything themselves. Most of that stuff is so far above my knowledge of electronics anyways. It would take me to much time.

So I have been doing a bunch of research and I have found a battery that is almost the exact size of the group 34 optima batteries. Im gonna go with Stinger SPP 1300c's. The top plate that came with my kit should work if I put two of these in there instead. Has anyone dealt with stinger batteries before? Pros and Cons? Here's a link if you want to look at them.
