I'm placing my order for my Tacoma Off Road Crew Cab
    I'm getting the following options
    1. Tow Package
    2. Predator Steps (I know not good for serious off roading, but I have kids)
    3. All Weather Mats (come with Sill Protector) if they did not come with sill protector I would get Husky or Weather tech but since they come with the sill protector these appear to be better deal.

I have the following questions on the below options if worth getting?
Anyone have any of these and should I consider getting them?
    1. VIP security system? ~$359
    2. Spare Tire Lock? ~$75
    3. Allloy wheel lock? ~$80
    4. Can I get dual climate control with paying thousands for the premium packages?
    5. Have dealer add leather seats ~$1500
    6. does navigation come with the off road?
    7. is a bed mat worth it? ~$120
    8. Does tow package come with the off road?

mats, flaps, and stickers. Extang solid fold 2.0. Mobtown sliders and full skids. AVS vents
    1. VIP security system? ~$359- Don't have it and wouldn't consider it. Not sure what it is.
    2. Spare Tire Lock? ~$75- If you have concerns for your rims getting jacked, then yes.
    3. Allloy wheel lock? ~$80- see #2.
    4. Can I get dual climate control with paying thousands for the premium packages? Yes you get it with either premium package. Unless you meant without premi. pack., then no you can't to the best of my knowledge.
    5. Have dealer add leather seats ~$1500- there are cheaper aftermarket options so i'm told.
    6. does navigation come with the off road? Yes.
    7. Does tow package come with the off road? Can be ordered with or without. For what you get for the money, just get it.

You can buy the sill protectors separate for like 30 bucks. I would go that route and get the huskys.

If you get the OEM matts make sure they are new husky/ weathertech imitations and not the older style ones that don't cover the edges.

Bed Matt is worth if intend to use your bed for stuff you don't want to slide around. FYI on that, they are like 95 on Amazon prime.

I love the bed mat; it stops things from sliding around in the bed. The tow package has to be ordered separately. Nav comes standard with TRD OR. Dual Climate ONLY with tech package. I opted out of dual climate as the Taco is NOT as big as the Tundra, and I didn't think dual would make much difference as opposed to someone just closing a vent.

For the bed mat order it off of Amazon. I got an OEM one shipped to my door in 2 days for a hell of a lot cheaper than what they want to charge you.

I think I would get over it, you probably will not get what your ordered when it comes in anyhow, use that to your advantage in closing the deal by making adjustments to the final packaged options you want.....and don't want.

It's extra, like $650 or something. Also, I wouldn't get the steps from the dealer. You can buy an after market set for literally half the price, it's what I just did yesterday.

I paid $650.00 extra, it is worth it. It is built in with dual plug outlet.

I would make decision based on wether your buying outright, financing or leasing.

If your financing or leasing I would suggest these only.

    1. Tow Package - I believe is standard on the Off-road
    2. Predator Steps - buy separately not installed or aftermarket
    3. All Weather Mats (come with Sill Protector) - buy separately if possible, or go aftermarket. The dealer may force you to buy the basic carpet mats.

    1. VIP security system? ~$359 - no
    2. Spare Tire Lock? ~$75 - buy separately
    3. Allloy wheel lock? ~$80 - buy separately
    4. Can I get dual climate control with paying thousands for the premium packages? - no, get the premium package, its worth it.
    5. Have dealer add leather seats ~$1500 - buy separately
    6. does navigation come with the off road? - yes
    7. is a bed mat worth it? ~$120 - buy separately
    8. Does tow package come with the off road? - yes

The reason you want to buy those things separately is because it will keep your payments lower and you won't be paying interest on them. Aftermarket tends to be cheaper all together.

    Stock and loving it
The tow package is not standard. Toyota wants to build them all with tow package but dealers can remove it when ordering. It is 650 extra and is the best package even if you don't tow

your right, it all depends on when and how you order, when I was shopping I was looking for what was already being built or on its way to the lot.. they all had tow packages. Its a solid package worth having and will add value to the truck overall.

if I get the husky mats should I get the sill protectors from Toyota ( are they really needed?)
IF I go with the all weather mats from Toyota how do I assure they are the newer Husky imitations and the old style.

I'd buy nFAB sliders with the steps. Stay away from predators, the welds are weak and those steps will snap right off the first time you hit something off road.

If I get the nFAB sliders with the steps. How is the install?
I don't mind a little work but don't want to have to tap any new holes for an install
Do I need a shop to to install or are holes lined up and just bolt it on.

I bought weathertechs and the Toyota sill protectors. I think the sill protectors are a good cheap option to have. I was starting to notice some pretty gnarly scratches on my sills, however I do have a black truck.

    A few things
If the spare tire lock is the same as the 2nd gen I would look for another option. It is a pain in the ass to use. The mating surface of the key to the lock is shallow and want to pop off. I would look into more of a bicycle lock rope/chain and lock it to the frame.

I would add some of that later.

sill guards are about 36. Saves you some money for the huskys or whatever you really want.
spare tire lock is about 33
    bed mat 84

I would even skip the Predators if you can and get them somewhere else.

The Tow package is the best value package/adder available. No brainer. Get it.
Everything else can be purchased on Amazon or Fleabay.
