One day when we were out in one of the fields we play fetch in there was a groundhog creepin around. It ran to it's hole and I let Dex follow it with his nose.

Next time we were there, he was rolling around on the ground for a few seconds. Gets up, starts running off towards the hole. Check cord doesn't tighten up.

Little shit rolled around and unhooked the check cord so he could run to the hole haha.

Driving through rural NC to return home and saw this awesome barn while the sun was setting. Perfect time for a quick snap of pup and truck.

She's a working dog. LOL. Her job: to be petted, rubbed, kissed and hugged. She is a certified Therapy Dog. She loves seniors and kids... all the same to her. As long as she can cuddle up close.
Sorry, no pics with her peeps that she visits (not allowed.)

This is Bronny my 5 year old Aussie Shepherd. Named after Zeppelin's Bron-Y-Aur stomp.

"So of one thing I am sure, It's a friendship so pure,
Angels singing all around my door, so fine.
Yeah, ain't but one thing to do Spend my natural life with you,
You're the finest dog I knew, so fine."

"Ah, caught you smiling at me,
That's the way it should be,
like a leaf is to a tree, so fine. "

Hard to go wrong with a gundog supply or LCS (lion country supply) check cord IMO! First 6-9 months a check cord is key to training a hunting dawg or any dog IMO. Eventually an in ground e-fence with lots of training will supplement it, but of course not in the field but is a good start for conditioning. After that the next step is a true ecollar and controller. Has worked well with all of my dogs and seldom use the Edison factor, just vibrate will get their attention. The oldest boy is old and deaf so vibrate works well to this day. It all started with a long check cord. Just saying...
