Yeah I just recently picked up a set of the bcc sliders and got Taran to make me one of his shackle flips to. Your lucky your pretty close to either of them. I stuck taking the ferry all the time to get things from bcc

It's kinda crazy how expensive a good paint job can be. But that's kinda on par for average from numbers I have heard. Showroom quality looking at like 10k

Yeah, but im not looking for anything near a 10k showroom quality resto job lol Ive called around quite a bit and 5-6k is pretty high for what he was offering saying it would probably bubble and he wouldnt guarantee it.

At that point wouldn't it be cheaper to just have it wrapped ?

I rather have it painted than wrapped since it lasts longer, and the paint is just beat. I dont really have the time, space, or tools to paint it myself and its my dd so I want it to be clean looking. I found a couple of shops that do clean work that will do it for 1500-2000 which seems pretty fair

Considering selling my tacoma and focusing on the bronco build. What's a fair asking price for a 05 4x4 4 door long bed with 85k on it with a DMZ rear and Lsk front?

That's not bad, it will be a tough decision if I actually decide to list it. Just not sure if I can keep her just as a Baja truck and still afford to fully build the bronco.

It's a rough time to sell a built truck for whatever reason.

I was about to say, here in El Paso, TX about $1500-2000 is the going rate for a full respray. At least when I was working at a body shop 5 years ago.

    Yes
Paint costs can vary wildly depending on if the area you live in requires water based materials because they are far more expensive. Going with a single stage non metallic saves cash too and you can color sand and buff a single stage yourself into "show " quality easily...and wet sand and buff scratches out far easier too.

Very true! I forget CA pushes for cleaner materials including water base. Going with a single stage is probably the best thing you can do for our trucks if you don't care for solid colors. You can easily do away with desert pin stripes if they bother you that much and it's much cheaper. On materials alone, here for a gallon of single stage black with it's reducer and all you are looking at about $150. Base coat/ clear coat, easily $300, plus double the work laying out the base then clear coating.

FYI on anyone ordering shocks from King. They are 3-4 weeks out on most shock builds. If you plan on ordering shocks you better plan accordingly.
