What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Sorry about your rock chip. I hope you can get it filled. I have experienced, and heard others complain, that replacement windshields randomly do not seal like factory. If you have to replace it I would have a dealer do it. My boss had a car totaled because of a replacement windshield leak. Water got into his computer and the abs controller. It was a 10 year old car but was otherwise in mint condition. Started out as a failed state inspection caused by the red abs light. Leaking windshield. Had rust all up under his dash.

 

Thanks! Derp all the way. So far it's holding up nicely. I tested a small area on the grill with 303. So far it looks the same. May hit the rest of it with it for a little UV protection.

 

What method did you use to remove the TRD decals on the rear sides?

 

it peeled off easy enough, then clean up the residue with Goo Gone.

Much better than having an orange dash eh? I passed on one when when shopping just for that reason....

 

I used a heat gun (carefully) and dental floss (fishing line also works) and clay bar to get off residue.

I knew I could get the gray pieces ordered and replaced before buying the truck, so I went for the orange trim dash...because It's the only way to get the black seats that I really wanted.

 

got them off and have them painted right now just waiting for it to dry looks awesome, I had ordered the parts from the dealer and they told me they were on bacl order, it looks like I will have 165 bucks coming back to me

 

I dropped off the wheels on Thursday night and picked them up Saturday morning. Local tire shop took the tires off and on for me.

 

I like the concept, but I would go for a rail from a scrapped Tacoma but still very smart setup
