    If you like Mexican food, Hacienda de Vega is a cool spot in Escondido. Stone Brewery is cool but you will leave hungry. Pizza Port is fun for the whole family but they are in Carlsbad. Where are you staying?

    Phil's BBQ is probably my favorite bbq place in sd. They are in San Marcos.

    I can't ever turn down Mexican food though.

    Ate at blue water fish today, that was pretty tasty! Had hawaiian wahoo and opah, calamari starter.

    Wahoo is such a delicious fish, one of my favorites and I am a heavy fisherman so be happy with what you ate. If you can get a fresh mako shark steak you will be in love, otherwise mahi mahi is just as close. But in a relaxed mode lobster is so great! Most people on the west coast don't even know our lobster don't even have claws.

    The wahoo was great, tried some thresher shark too, my favorite is marlin though. We get good seafood up north too. Wait your lobster dont have claws?!

    New Phil's in Rancho Bernardo should be done soon...old Elephant Bar.

    @benbacher
    Phil's would be worth the drive from the Safari Park to eat...few exits away off the 78. Never had a bad meal there. Ballast Point Brewing off Miramar Rd would be worth the tirp as well...food is good, beer is great and restaurant is kid friendly.

    I spent my relax time today watching videos on butchering cows and how to cultivate the highest volume of delicious beef from a cow....so to say I'm a fan of bbq is a bit of an understatement haha. I'm pretty spoiled with my own setup back home so I'm sticking to the local stuff down here (mostly things in the sea)

    Greetings San Diego sodomites.... Most of you don't know (or care haha) that I've been homeless for 3 months now living out of my saturn, now the other dilema arises aside from being homeless is trying to find a place to park at night to sleep, its illegal in the state of Ca to sleep in vehicles on any public street other than a recognized rest stop, problem there is the closest one is buckman springs in the mountains, i mean WTF !! So if any of you know of a place where it's relatively safe & wont get rolled up by PD let me know, thanks....

    I now return you to regular programming...

    Sure, & I have no real problem throwing my bullshit on an open forum,I know most of you I think & if we can't rant or bitch to the locals then ya know,,, wtf right ?..haha I am homeless currently because my so called father-in-law asked me to stay when I came back from Nevada , having no job , started doing some major repairs around property to cover room & board & when it was winding down and all the big things were done , was basically shown the exit, I planned on being out by end of Feb. anyway but the asshole booted me 1st week of nov.

    You've got to try "That Boy Good" in Oceanside. Its on the 101. I think its better than Phil's, but the atmosphere is also better IMO.

    Doug, there is a place you can crash in Cardiff-By-The-Sea. A guy has been living out of his car there for three years. I pass him on the way to work every morning. You get ocean view and cool breeze. Take the 5 north, exit at Birmingham and head toward the ocean. You'll dead end into a stop light at the bottom of the hill (street is called Vulcan and there will be a Jack in the Box on your right). Turn right and drive for about 1/4-1/2 mile and the entire sand parking lot on your left you can park and sleep in. It's a long stretch of dirt parking that RV's and Marvin (the guy living there for 3 years) post up in and sleep.
