    no thats my next step we were just talking here in work and I was going for a quick answer.........dealer mentioned to me 5k and someone else mentioned to me 10k.....I will look tonight

    Some people were saying their manuals said 5k oil changes and I heard some took them to the dealership at 5k and they wont change them til 10k. So idk what Toyota is thinking but I'm sure all the trucks are set for the maintenance reminder light to come on around 4500 miles. Defiantly not 9500 miles.......

    yea I am big on what the manual or manufacture recommends just like what they recommend for gas octane rating

    TRD super charger, URD fuel mods and 2.1 super grip pully, Headers, 2.5" glass pack, Dana 60 front 4 linked, 14bolt rears on chev 63's, 5.38 gears, ARB locker in the front, PSC full hydraulic steering, 18" SAW 2.5" triple rate coils overs, FOA 2.5 air bumps, B&M launch controls, B&M trans cooler, 4 alpine 6X8 type R's amped, Red led rock lights, CBI front and rear bumpers (my design) CBI sliders, 4 riggid dualys front 2 in the rear, custom track bar, ARB snorkle, warn VR8000 winch, Viair 480c twin compressers..

    The correct answer is as long as your filter lasts. most high end filters will make it 4-5K Just the same i run ams oil in my truck and change it every 3 K oil is cheap motors are not.

    No matter what the manual states or the dealership recommends I would not go past 5k! Car manufacturers want to show low cost of ownership to potential buyers. So one of the things they can do is extend out oil changes. Problem is depending on the base rate of the oil that is used it can cause sludge to build before that next oil change.

    ok so i will ready manual and yes now that they post two years maint free of course they will extend oil change out to max.....less times to change the oil for sure ....also the new oil filter is just some cardboard no metal housing....the metal housing is on the truck and unscrews and has a spindal in the center for the new cardboard filter to slide on and then they just screw that housing back onto the truck.....so I can see this filter breaking down and causing potential problems
