no, it isn't that. It is like you start to press down on the accelerator and you get a little bit of a rev then in bumps into gear. I thought I noticed a little slip going around a corner if you give it a little gas. I need to get to the dealer. Was just hoping to have a little info in my back pocket to actually get them to look at it rather than just give me lip service

I am in the same range somewhere around 3300 but it has been getting down into the 20s at night. I recently got it in the garage though. I am starting to wonder if the issues I mentioned when I first got it and the way it shifts is because of this issue...

I don't here any clunks, but mine seems like fro reverse to drive it takes a second to engage the engages a second time for full engagement.

Not dismissing anyone's problem, but has anyone considered the drum brakes as the cause of the clunk?

I have this same issue, Mine wont shift into 6th gear on the highway until about 3-4k RPM. I am going to make an appt. too. Can't tell if I'm just paranoid after reading this or if it is a legit issue.

A760 trans is found in 4.6L V8 products like Tundra and GX460.

AB60 is found in 5.7L V8s like the Tundra, sequoia and Landcruiser/LX up to 2015.

The 2016 Tacoma uses a AC60 trans in both the 4 and 6 cyl. And a little 2.7L van in Australia uses it too. I believe it's a new transmission. Not trying to rub salt in the wounds for the owners, but damn Toyota kinda messed up.

Peoples time is important and we're all busy, you shouldn't have to waste days on unnecessary dealer trips. This isn't a RAM ecodiesel!

Having same issues. Delay going into first showed up about a week ago. Not cool Toyota. Looks like I'm headed to the dealer Monday.

ok . I had this issue with the truck hesitating on launch and acting weird in reverse and after reading other posts on this forum I added a 1/2 qt to my tranny in my driveway . It shifted way to hard after the aditional fluid, so I got under there with a Pyrex measuring bowl and a 24mm socket and took out 2 ounces at a time until I found it to shift normal. it was at 8 onces and tranny is much better no hesitation going forward but still a Little strange in reverse . It was a dirty but it worked. I have 2016 sr5 v6 auto with trailer package. Mac

I made an appt. for tomorrow. It's cold as hell here in Baltimore and my truck is acting up.

All these reports of low fluid have me worried. I asked my dealer to check the trans fluid when I came in for tire rotation and they reported that the fluid was not low. I have a 4x4 with tow package.

They (dealer I purchased from) told me they went through and did the physical inspection. I was concerned about it because I left the truck at my office overnight and when I got in it the day I was taking it in for tire rotation, I noticed long gaps between shifts 1-3. Maybe it was because it was so cold but I haven't felt it since. I've been letting the truck warm up for at least 2 mins every morning though since it's down in the 20s now.

Mine was just serviced 1.5 qt low. I was experiencing similar issues as everyone else here. The Tech expects a TSB to come out soon to address this issue as well as update the software for shift points. I highly recommend Bill Kidds Toyota in Cockeysville, MD.

My transmission surges when in reverse and cold. I don't really care; I just keep my foot on the brake

Did you buy from them? Actually had a deposit and build order w them but they jerked me around on pricing. Will end up using them for service as the other local dealer has been hit or miss for friends/family.

I didn't buy from them, I actually went with Koons Toyota in Easton. It was a bit of a drive but Todd the sales rep I dealt with was extremely helpful. I didnt buy from Bill Kidds for the same issue. They would not budge from the sticker price.
