You aren't kidding, I grew up near Utica (50 miles east of Syracuse) and so many of the good jobs left here over 20 years ago. Lost Griffith Air Force base, Martain Marietta, just to name a few. NY was not and still not business friendly. On the bright side when the housing market crashed a few years back it didn't hurt here much because we went threw that 20 years ago. I stayed for my pops but he passed away so taking care a few last things here then I am south !!! I envy all you folks.

Indeed. In my part of SC- immidiatly south of charlotte- nearly everyone is from somewhere else. Lots from NY, MA, OH, CA, FL, MI here.
