First I just read the OP & some of the responses.

Sorry about the truck getting scratched...it always sucks on a new vehicle.

Signs, signs & more signs mean dick when & if negligent behavior is involved. Is it it a for profit company and were the negligent...?

And trying not to sound like the dick I am but, for all those who would "explode" or whatever the fuck else other uncontrolled & irrational response/emotion you may have in mind...I say you might consider reprioritizing your life. There are so many things in life that are so much more deserving of your time, energy & efforts.

Oh and BTW your co worker who "rooster tailed" your new truck...pretty sure he's a dick too.

So you bought a truck because it looks pretty? I'm sorry I guess I thought the back half of the truck that looks like a really big bowl was supposed to be used as more than a pretty uncomfortable couch

You must be a lovely person in "real life". No, I bought the truck for many reasons which are none of your business. But I also like to keep it looking nice for many reasons. You act like your view of what a truck is for is the only view that matters. What a jackass.

No not really I'm sorry I just figured most people buy a truck to use it as a truck I guess I'm wrong I'm sorry. And in person I'm just as much of a dick :hattip::dancingbacon::jerkoff:

I usually spray my truck at the car wash with the wand. Just to get all the mud off then hand wash after.

Just tell him about SEMA trucks. You will see how clean trucks really are and they look great.

OP you own a black vehicle time to invest in a polisher...Adams polishes have some good products...Black vehicle's if not maintain turn into 5 footers within a year....Good luck with the repairs

I see dudes pull up with high end sports cars ALL the time at my local car wash, I mean shit I would take mine too if I was so damn cheap. Its not the car wash, but the people that work there that can do the damage, hence the little girl in this scenario.

I had two black vehicles.....Never again. They look great when washed and waxed........an hour later rinse and repeat...Black is not a color......it's a career.

Ha, yeah right. Not around here. Most dudes that buy trucks do it because they LOOK masculine ( perfect example are the guys with the all black everything murdered look). I bet half of them dont even know how to put the tailgate down much less alone use the bed for anything other then looks.

Not all that bad. And certainly not much worse than other highly reflective and beautiful colors like the reds and blues. Me... I see black paint as an opportunity to show off my detailing skills. :)

    Indeed it does.

As far as Car washes. I have no problem running through them. I ran my truck through one to ensure there were no leaks soon after I bought it.

I will hand wash and wax the MX 5 as it takes about 30 minutes....The truck I would rather take through a wash then wax it at home.

Here's why I like black paint. Photos taken of my BLACK MINI Cooper after an 8 hour detailing session. Note the sharpness of the reflections. Let's see you do that with any other color. ;)
