I searched this forum and the Wheels & Tires forum and couldn't find what I'm looking for.

I'm interested in a Method wheel for my 2016 Tacoma, but the 17" x 8.5" wheel has a backspacing of 4.75 and 0 offset.

Does anyone know if I will have rubbing? I prefer not to use spacers. The new coils I'm installing up front should give me between 2 and 3 inches lift.

    Haven't seen any 2016's on 17" Methods.

Lots of 3rd gens are running Methods in that size. Rubbing will depend more on the tire than the wheel. I'll be running that wheel with 285/70R17 KO2s and anticipate cutting some plastic, and potentially a CMC. Already removed the air dam.

My plan is a 275/70R17. Do you expect I will still need to trim?

You should be fine with 2-3" of lift.

I have the method standard wheels 17 X 8.5. The center caps don't seem to fit on the 2016 Tacoma because the hub bore is larger than the 2015 Tacoma.

No spacers, no rub, stock UCA's for now.

And the lift has been installed since early December?
With that offset of the Method 17" wheels, do your tires tuck completely under the wheel wells? Hard to tell from your pics.

Yea my tires just about match the fenders maybe slightly stick out but hardly at all noticeable, hell i actually wish i got a slightly wider tire sometimes but they fit perfectly. Honestly feel i could've fit 34" or 35" under there but ill cross that bridge once the new UCA's are on.

I just purchased 18's today with -12 offset which have a 4.5 inch backspace. Thats what was recommended by the vendor. He said the wheels will still out a little more for clearance. I went with 18s instead of 17s just because I liked how it looked. Check out @ridez truck on a 3 inch lift.
