    I see corn!

Being born in San Diego, CA is like winning the geographical lottery of the world. :) Lots of diverse places to explore in a very close area.

The adventure above was about 215 miles round trip, and we even passed through the mountains to get there, where there was snow to play in. :anonymous:

yea I just did thick weather stripping. if you cant do any good with that, try layering caulk or great stuff in there to fill it in. I had the same problem when I first put my crap back there.

I just got the thickest they had. itll compress down to nothing. might want to lightly scuff up and clean any place that you stick it so that it adheres well.

i use my truck bed for camping,i have a cap on it. keeping the bugs and water out are really important. the tailgate seal work great. make sure you use a small test piece about 1" to see where you want it to go. the kit should come with enough to do the bottom and both sides, good luck.

I do not have any pictures right now, but that product jw was talking about looks better than the job I did on min lol. ill probably pull off the shit I have on there and put the purpose built weather stripping on there. there are still a couple of areas that aren't completely sealed. also I don't remember exactly the brand and what not I got, but I did the sides of the bed that the tailgate closes on with http://www.lowes.com/pd_127200-1410-V27WA_1z138yj__?productId=1009791&pl=1

and the bottom with just the generic black foam stipping that was maybe 1/2" or more thick?

don't wait till summer! winter camping is where its at. I avoid camping like the plague during the summer. way too many people and I cant sleep when its hot as balls and I can smell sweaty dog farts in the tent/bed.

no sir. we were sure of the weather before we set up camp. although.. the water did rise a few inches by the morning. The water line had creeped up close to our fire pit. was such an awesome and secluded spot. slept like a baby. lol
