    is there that much difference between the reception... IE if u were to put it in the center of your roof and the firestick??

    The only part of the antenna that will get reception effectively is whatever part is above your roofline. So if you get a firestick, and its 4ft, only about 2ft will be productive because thats the only part thats above the roofline.

    The best place to mount an antenna for best reception is in the middle of the roof. Firestik advantage is that it is more flexible. So it just depends.

    Tom has hi Lil wil for ten years and loves it.

    I have had mine on for 2 weeks and I love it.

    I tested it out yesterday, PJ, Doug and Mario and attest to the strength of it. I was hitting very low branches and it hung in there.

    For 20 it;s a good deal. I bought mine and installed it on Mod Day for about 40.

    dam u guys have almost convinced me to keep it! :laugh: if no one buys it today i may just keep it then...does work really well except for that fact that in the dunes its slides around a bit due to high speeds and scratches the paint on the roof...Im trying to go for this one and mount it through the bedrail so it is grounded to the frame of body.

    ^ mine had never slid around during regular off roading ie hollister hills, trail riding, etc. But when in Pismo I've bashed on my truck hard enough for the antenna to fall off my roof and into my bed! :eek:

    Well I think I read somewhere on Wilson's site that they say if you are afraid of scratching to put pantyhose between the antenna and the roof. There is a rubber piece already on the antenna as well. I don't think it will affect it that much. Like Tom said, it does not move around...I think that time at Pismo was rare. Mine did not shift at all when hitting the branches.
