So I got this for my truck. I've aired down before but hated to wait until I found a gas station. The last time I went off roading I didn't air down. It's not some fancy air compressor thats built into the truck in some tool box, but this does the trick. :D

I have a similar one for when I used it for my motorcycle. Have you tried to air down and fill it up? How long does it take??? I have never tried mine but I think it is slow...

Great looking truck!! I was wondering where you got the Toyota emblem. I am thinking about doing a similar mod with the grillcraft grill and emblem on the front. I've seen a few on the site and really like the look. This may be a dumb question but how do you reach the hood release with the grill? I noticed I have to reach in between the slots in my grill to release the hood.

It's pretty slow, but it's not painfully slow.

    Thank you.
I got the emblem from Toyota. I looked up older FJ's on the internet and had really liked the sized emblems Toyota used. They are definitely larger and matches the grillcrafts length just perfect. Not too big and definitely not too small. I don't remember the year model FJ it came from, but if you take a look in my gallery you should be able to spot the part number to help you out. Remember, they come white.
The hood release? I never had to stick my hand in there. Once the hood pops open, I use the raised section of it to slide my hand under the hood and between the grill (above it). I've never stuck my hand throught the grill. Perhaps yours is sticking a little.

I was planning on airing down and then putting some air in to time it. Im curious myself to know how long I would have to wait. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the quick reply. I found the emblem on ebay for $80 bucks...seems kinda steep. Do you remember if you got it for less from Toyota?
As for the hood release I think I just never tried reaching in and releasing it seeing as I could reach it easily through the grill.

That is steep. Call around or just keep your eyes open for one. I wouldn't pay $80. Had I paid that much, I still would have installed it the way I did versus the sticky stuff.

    Only in California. :D

For anyone else looking for the TOYOTA emblem w8n4mud used in his mod, I found one on ebay and on the toyota parts center website. The one on ebay is going for $80 which is really steep. The one on the toyota parts center website is about $32. Link below.

Mostly accessories right now. The little stuff makes a difference. I just got the Craftsman 3 ton jack, two load stands and a creeper for some fun under the truck. A great deal for $74.99. Regularly $149.99. Can't complain. Even though its for the truck, its not on it. You know what I mean. I can't quite make it a mod, but I do love it.

So I got my windshield replaced by...
USA Auto Glass out of San Diego.
Jason, the manager of USA Auto Glass, was also the installer. He did a great job and would highly recommend his business to other Tacoma owners.
Jason can be reached at (619) 917-8039.
    www.usaglass.net
He has other locations in cities such as Las Vegas and Sacramento. Check him out if you live in those cities.
The windshield used to replace the factory one was also a United LN windshield with the 3rd visor in the middle and the section for the middle mirror. Total price out the door was $185.00.

Good as new and good as the original. Don't settle for anything less. $185 is reasonable.
