Of course players are more likely to choose football... In baseball Russel Wilson would have sat in the minors for 4 years instead of winning a super bowl.
    Anyways... back to football

I'm not talking about that one specifically. And yes it was handed to him...
But he tried to rip a bucs jersey from a fan and ripped a sign last I remember.. If I was a fan I would have been pissed if my jersey got ripped. That's a lot of money if it was authentic.

Hmm so does that mean the kicker is the most athletic on a football team? Since most of them play soccer

Russell Wilson played professional baseball before he played pro football, and he is a career .229 hitter. On a professional level, he sucked at baseball, couldn't even get close to the majors, yet he's a star in the NFL. I'm not going to say one sport is more difficult than the other because it is different from one athlete to another, but I will say that the best football players all played baseball in HS and some even did it in college and/or MiLB.

Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders both back this up. Not to mention when the NFL started, the rosters got filled with MLB players.

Both of those guys were a lot better on the gridiron than the diamond.

I accidentally clicked on "multi-quote" on one of your posts at some time and was unaware. I submitted my response to tayoflor and saw your quote in there afterward. I deleted it. My apologies.

93 games in the minors can't even be a gauge to determining whether he "sucked" on a professional level in baseball.

I am a Seahawks fan and it does not offend me one bit that he threw a 12th man flag in his own stadium after a win. In his own stadium. Do I think Cam Newton is a great player? Absolutely. I would like to see him play with a little more humility but that is not going to happen with a lot of today's players.

Maybe he could have been developed and improved, but as of right now, he's a .229 hitter, which sucks. He never proved himself. If he had played well over the span of multiple seasons and then had a bad stretch where he hit .229, then it would be a different story.

Anyhow, it's irrelevant. He'd have to be putting up .300/20/100 seasons in the majors to be as good in baseball as he is at football.

Wilson's got the whole off-season to get injured playing baseball; no one really cares, the Seahawks actually got eliminated on Sunday, did anyone catch that?

Sure did catch that. Our Wilson won't get injured playing baseball, he had recovery water o_O

Ok, good. Now let's talk about the big boy teams that are still playing. Anyone think AZ will beat Carolina?

I hope Arizona beats Carolina. Pats will lose to Broncos though so that will be nice.

Hey, it's cool if they do. I wouldn't mind seeing Peyton get spanked in front of another national audience...
