    punk kid. :D
I will submit to you and the rest, that it is entirely possible, with all the myriad ways to lift the front end, that those who did not notice a difference actually over lifted, more than 3"... (Mr. Penguin is over 3" btw, I've seen your ride.)
the very thing that some of them caution others about.
Yep, that's right, if you exceed the 3" limit, the diff drop will do you no good until you pull the front end down where it needs to be.

The biggest bitch I have about some of this is that one mans opinion is in no way gospel.
Maybe it WILL work for the guys who went the OME route and ended up with the desired 3" of lift as opposed to the Eibach guys who end up way over. Or have I been reading all those complaints wrong? :)

I mean in my opinion, honestly, the Toyota IFS is the weakest thing I have ever come across. Rides nice. But a lot of guys are making it work, with occasional repairs and maintenance, so I wouldn't tell everybody that it needs to be cut off and trashed. But that's how I feel.

I guess you technically could. But I don't know that I've ever seen people do it because the fins on the outer boot don't touch (unless you have a large amount of lift which is a whole different story ;))

think I read on here that some members were able to have cvj, install the boot slide mod for them when they ordered the axles.

You'll notice it all through Toyotas transmission names. The letter(s) at the end describe the tailshaft (2wd or 4wd) and whether or not it's an overdrive model for autos.

Im going to order mine within the next couple of days, I will have to ask them. I know the will put high angle silicone boots on them. It's there "off-road" axles.

Last time I called I asked the lady for a quote on tacoma off road axles. she said..
Lady: "we don't have off- road axles but we use re-manufactured oem axles, we can put silicone boots on them"
    Me: "Yeah your off-road axles"
Lady: "Well there not for off-road, there if you have a lift kit or something"
Me: "Yeah that's the one I want, there called off-road on your website"

Like really? you work at this place and you have never looked at your own website or what??? lol

Would be awesome if we had a transfer case locker and you could turn the inner knob to lock it or unlock it.

That also works... Would be cool to have though. Maybe my truck would be at least a little better on icy roads haha

I though about that when I posted. But then if you have front and rear lockers then I'm not sure if I'd want one button for them :notsure:

Thought about a way to do that, wouldn't be too hard but I need a locker first and about 45mins on a milling machine.

I can make the dial a switch, but I cannot afford a locker. When I get some free time in the metal shop at school I'll work on the switch though.
