No offense, but I'm gonna play Devil's advocate here.

Common sense tells me that it's your fault that it's fucked up. Don't pass the blame on a 12 year old. You knew in advance that any car wash that touches a vehicle in any way damages a vehicle: e.g. guide tracks (scuffed wheels), floating brushes (broken antennas, torn off lights), people with brushes (scratches), etc. Those car washes are obsolete technology and a complete bane on new vehicles.

You might have been asked earlier in the thread, but why didn't you take care of your own precious truck at a DIY, or a complete touchless? That is your responsibility, not a 12 year old's. Passing the buck and thinking about suing is just passing the blame. Going back is just asking for more trouble. Live with it and mark it up to experience. If you remember the fuck up and don't do it again, then it becomes wisdom.

Now that I've said that, I'd be pissed too, but at myself. I know, the same thing happened to me many moons ago.

    It'll buff out!

    Edit:
LOL... And I should read through a whole thread before shooting off my mouth!

*Update* First thank you everyone for posting on ways to deal with this. I know some posts were negative towards others posting comments. I just wanted to clarify I wasn't complaining about a little scratch I know all vehicles get them. It was more in the manner on how I got them and being in 5 seperate areas on the truck that you could see plain as day standing 5ft away. Everything worked out the owner of the car wash had a guy come in that is a professional detailer that does wet sanding I did speak to him. He did tell me that you definitely have to know what your doing or you could make it worse and that the black is one if not the hardest colors to remove the scratches. He did a fantastic job and got it looking new again. I do still have a few of the scratches but you have to get up close to see them. This has been a lesson learned. The pic is the same area as the original pic I posted.

Gotta say I'm impressed with your attention to detail in keeping your cars spiffy and that comes from a guy who doesn't really do much other than routine maintenance and a weekly full contact car wash.

I'm always asking this... Here's the bright side of being me, when everyday is a new day life is good.

Yes, if you like vag. Somehow I expected more comment from you. Busy day?

    Funny shit

Looks like it turned out great man. Now about your co-worker...

I'm always down to watch chick fights as long as my hair isn't being pulled. Better than the girls gossiping at the office.

I know you don't drink...so virtual glass bump of O'doules to ya.

Oh about the coworker he didn't know about the scratches until this morning and felt really bad. And went with me to drop the truck off to get fixed. He told the owner of the car wash that if he didn't think his guy was confident or capable of doing the job to tell him because he was willing to bring it to a body shop and pay someone to fix it. Giving the owner an out on not doing it but the owner of the car wash knew his guy he brought in was good and that his daughter was in the wrong. I know this because when I went to pick up my truck the owner was already gone so he told me the story how he was called in to do my truck.

    Restrain? Why? Do it!

I do my best posting (admittedly always weak) after a few Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan brews...

Just trying to help you from making mistakes. You did say this site is about learning.

I'm certainly not a grammar Nazi, I can understand you're still sore from the hair-pulling, chickfight earlier. Wounds like that take time to heal.

    Haha! Nice.
I'll have to wait for the buzz to kick in. Hopefully the alcohol doesn't render my performance.
