    I have a 2012 DC 4x4 TRD Sport.
    My tires are 325/60/18.

I am wanting to upgrade from my stock 3.73 gears. I was thinking 4.10 ,but the lady at the differential shop told me to go with 4.56 .

    What are yalls thoughts ?

She said if I want a locker that would be the time to put one in. She said something about a truetrack . not sure.

One that will lock up when needed and let me go around corners.

    Just need some advice.

I tried to search for something but didn't find anything helpful. Still kinda new here.

I believe green is close to stock, red is for power, and yellow is for fuel efficiency. This is also for 1st gens so it may vary slightly because you're 2nd gen.

I think, if I remember right, those RPMs are when driving at 65.

Your tire is around 33" so I'd probably suggest a 4.56 or a 4.88. I know people on this site who had 33's and were happy with both, but 4.56 will bring you closer to factory.

It just feels like a dog when you gas it.

My dead taco was an 05 with 6mt and 265/75/16.. Yes big difference but...
When I mash the gas to the floor I want to go. Lol

I have a 13' DCSB V6 Auto with 33's. I ordered a pair of 4.56 Diffs with ARB lockers front and rear and installed them a couple weeks ago.

I went with 4.56's after researching the forum. That seems to be the ratio most with autos go with here. 4.10's for a stick. Hard to argue with that many happy customers.

I'm really glad I did this Regear. The transmission shifts correctly now, and I regained lost power. It's not a rocket, and never will be, but its SO much better with the new gears.

Are you buying from East a Coast Gear Supply? If not give them a call. Great to deal with and you can't beat their exchange program.

As far as lockers go, I ran a mechanical locker for a year. It got old quick. Every time you're under any amount of power, it locks. Hard right turns are annoying AF. Especially up hill.

ARB air lockers are the only non factory selectable lockers for our trucks. If you can swing it, do it now. There's a LOT of labor involved in adding one later. Especially if you add the cost of the mechanical locker that you'll get tired of...

If you buy through ECGS, they don't charge ANY extra labor to put the locker in when they build the Diffs. AND, they sell the ARB's at a discount if they install it in the diff.

Here's my thread on my Regear if you'd like to check it out.

Can i ask you how fast your going at 2000rpm in 5th on the highway?
We have 120 and 130km/hr speed limits in areas where I drive a lot and I need to keep the rpms down.

Regarding the truetrac, i have one and while it's not a mechanical locker it is a very positive drive system compared to stock.
It was very very fun to be able to pull donuts at will even with stock gears.
While it has its drawbacks it is better then stock. Lockers will put you back a couple grand. Truetrac will help but not to be compared with a locker.
