After doing a lot of reading on here, I ended up purchasing a Spigen Slim Armor Volt case for my Iphone 6 Plus. After trying it for 5 days, I am convinced that it doesn't work. The yellow light comes on but the charge cuts in and out every 2 seconds and the battery doesn't get charged. I tried every placement position possible with the same negative result.
I am returning the case to Amazon tomorrow.
This question is only for those of you with Iphone 6 Plus, please don't reply if you have a droid, iphone 6 or any other phone that's not a 6 Plus:

What case or other set-up do you use in the Taco that works 100% of the time?

    Many thanks in advance.

I have the Spigen tough armour volt. It works fine.
I have a 6s. Doesn't cut in and out at all.

    Is it a 6 plus S or a regular 6s?

I bought the same case for my 6+

I have not been able to get it to work either. The case does work on the charger I bought so I know its not DOA. I've put a friends phone on the qi in the truck that has it standard on the phone, it worked but even that was very picky and it took it around 15-20 seconds to recognize.

I'm having the same issue it must be the coil location. I am having issues with finding a decent durable case with a cool that will fit. It appears the charging coil in the truck is really for smaller phones.

I am hoping that someone on this forum has found a way to make their 6 plus work with the Taco's Qi pad. Let's see if they respond...

I'm definitely gonna reply (even though I have an android) and say that the charging pad on these trucks is pretty awful. It's a low voltage single coil product. Toyota could have done far better with a 3 coil with higher voltage. My LG G3 charges slowly. My friends 6s with spigen is spotty. My friends Galaxy S6 charges flawlessly. Coil placement in that tiny space is limited, so why they didn't just multicoil it up is just beyond me.

I would not expect many of the large phones to be chargeable on the QI system. My Note 5 was pausing on and off. So I bought an S6. It charged fine. Didn't care for the smaller screen so I sold it and bought a LG V10. No problems on QI or at home. The larger phones need more juice to charge. Toyota did not design the QI system for the latest large phones with larger batteries.

I can say the V10 works with my Spigen case.

You have the V10???!!! I want it. Give it to me, I demand it.

In all seriousness, I was looking to upgrade from my G3. I'm glad you mentioned it. So it works with the Toyota charger then?

1: Does it come standard with wireless charging? If not, what option did you use to convert it?
2: Is it everything you ever dreamed of?

Yes it does and it has QI charging. I had to buy a charging back though. after years of Samsung devices the V10 is a refreshing change. Love the phone. Better than my Note 5 was. It has Memo like the Note 5 but no stylus. Have to use a finger. But I won't be going back to Samsung anytime soon. I think the V10 is saving LG and put them back in the game.

Ther are less expensive backs but after the Note 5 fiasco I wanted the best solution I could try on the spot and return if necessary.

Shweet. The G3 really impresses me for the price tag, but there've been a couple decent incentives on the V10 that keep catching my eye. Anyway, the charging back looks kind of pricey but I'm encouraged that it works with the pad. I'll make a note of it when it comes time to do the upgrade.

By that time there might be less expensive charging backs available that work well. I wanted NFC to use Android Pay. That added to the cost as well.

I use iOttie model CSWRIO110BK on my 6S. It has worked every time so far I put it on and doesn't give me the "device is not recognized" error when I plug it in. charges about 1% a minute while on the charger.

I tried a cheaper charging strip on my 5S and it only worked half the time.

So I got my case working better. I slid the charging pad down towards the bottom of the phone and it's been running great!

yep on my 6+. I will throw this out, I have no clue if it has any bearing on it or not. I removed the charging pad entirely from the case (spigen volt one) and just hooked it up to the phone and put it on the charging pad on the truck. it sat there for about 10-15 seconds and then the amber light to the left came on.

I highly doubt there is any specific intelligence to the charging circuits, but if there is, maybe it helps for it to see a device finally and then it starts working.

At this point, there is no lag with it and the phone starts charging as soon as I put it on the pad

 Seems like the bolding of your text really had an effect on the non-iPhone 6+ owners around here

Anybody find a case for the iPhone 6 Plus yet that works? I can't find the iOttie case for the 6 plus that was referenced in this thread. I can only find cases for the 6 which won't work for me obviously.
