Hey @David K, you're the resident Mexico expert aren't you? If so, or anyone else want to chime in, where would be a couple good places to take the truck with my roof top tent and the wife to make a quick weekend trip? She likes beaches.

Can always go to Pismo Beach too.

 

If you're not into surfing this is a great choice. Look up Petes Camp. You camp on the beach for next to nothing and there is even a restaurant right there!

 

I'm into surfing. I was a bit confused by the quote. So is San Felipe a good surf spot, or Petes Camp?

 

Pete's camp is in San Felipe, but it is a bad surf spot! It's on the gulf side.

...plus, no surfer would give up their sacred good Baja spots!!!

 

hahaha! It's like the secret bass hole...only certain folks get to go there I've got a few buddies that do surf trips down that way. I'll have to ask them. Pete's Camp looks like a decent little place.

Scorpion bay has some epic surfing, even local SD surfing has some decent swell right now

Thanks for your concern dude & there's no need for a fund , I think I see a glimmer of light and all this bad shit is going away or at least I'll be in a much better position, it's all about getting my CDL back & going to school for my class A & making things right with a couple people & THEN getting another truck to build , start feeling like a contributor to society again, this has been the longest run of bullshit I've ever had for sure....what, 5-6 years of crap whether it was my own doing or others (both actually) But thanks again Dean....

Doug hope things get back on track soon for ya. New grill looks great....should help out with the ladies, finding a job and eating....Lol! As for not getting harassed in the car try some industrial areas as everyones gone at night with no to little traffic with no po po.

I kinda lived over there when I was in college. Lots of traffic. Night life is mostly what is happening. You do have the mountain areas to explore. It really depends what you are into. You do have a large range of stuff to do.

 

Haven't lived there since 1979. Good luck
