I looked high and low on this forum but couldn't find it. I swear I read earlier that someone installed one of their kits. Cam anyone advise if they did and if so what kit?

I did! Since they have a location 10min away from the pad here in Chula Vista, offer a lifetime warranty and only cost $40, I decided to try them out! I chose the regular DDM kit in 55w 5000k! Super happy with the performance!

I had these in my 2011 Camry SE and LOVED them. Installed them in 2011 and never had a problem with them when I traded it in 2013.
I plan on going this route for my Taco.

i had them in my '01 camry and had to replace the regular sized ballasts like 2-3 times in 5 years (but at $35 a set it wasn't really a big deal), but the last set i bought was the slim ballasts, and those lasted 2 years and were still going strong when I traded it in for the tacoma. overall I loved them, and miss the color, but there is really nothing wrong with the factory halogens on the tacoma in my opinion

There's this taco shop west of DDM called Tacos El Gordo. If you love authentic Mexican food give them a try! Es muy bueno!

I have them in my motorcycle. They put off tons of light, however I am looking for something differwnt or back to stock.
Stock housings aee jot designed for HID's. They throw lihht all over the place blinding other drivers.

I have bought 4 sets of Ddm tuning hid kits, all for different vehicles and never had a issue with them. I just ordered them for my 3rd gen and can't wait to get them. You will definitely be happy.

Bro! They have some of the best tacos. For some reason the one on Palm Ave taste better to me.

Definitely the housing. HID's in the 3rd gen projector housing project a nice cutoff. Also, the set I installed didn't require the light levels to be adjusted. Truly a plug and play mod.

Well, I know I'm a 1st gen guy here, but I have their HIDs on my truck now for 3 months. Already had a bulb go bad and an entire harness go bad on me. They did cover both under warranty but it's the fact that it's going bad in less than 3 months. I would pay the extra money and go elsewhere.

Did not realize the 16's have projector lenses in them now. The 2nd gen lights are the same style as my bike's lights. The reflectors in these are not designed to be used with HID's.

    Sorry for the mixup.

I've run DDM HID's in several of my bikes. I love 'em! You can't beat the lifetime warranty! For those worried about blinding folks, DDM also makes an HID kit with a Hi-Lo option. I currently run that on my VTX 1800 and I've never had an issue.

Is the regular kit all that's necessary? Or is it worth the extra money for one of the plus kits or whatever they call them

Hated them in my 2003 Ram, nothing but issues and temperamental. Had their recommend relay kit and all.
My wife's 1998 Beetle had tons of issues with bulbs blowing, but put in the DDM kit in that and never had an issues.

So all and all, they're okay.

I have 3 cars with ddm kits. All of them have the regular kit. It's bright enough for my passengers to make comments on how bright they are.

Was the DDM kit plug and play? I installed the 35w kit and didn't fire up.

You miss the ground? Plugged it up to the positive terminal? Check all connections? Check the inline fuse.

Yes mine was plug and play for the H11. Check polarity by rotating plug to the bulb. It fits both ways but only one is right.
