The SR thread, let's see them!

I'm most interested in SRs. We have a thread for every color and practically everything else, so I figured why not. I pick this one up today, haven't seen one like it yet. Black 5 speed 4x4. Feel free to post your SR as often as you mod.

 

Looks pretty good all blacked out. Never liked the lower trim packages but I think I could deal with that

 

It was in my price range, under $25k for a 4x4.

Hell yeah I like where this thread is going. I honestly believe the SR's to be the best fit for the role of a Tacoma. I personally don't subscribe to the idea of spending $35k+ on a toyota pickup truck. That's not to say they're bad, but a toyota pickup is not meant to be fancy or expensive. At the low-mid 20's mark, the SR taco is an excellent purchase. I think the OP's black/black/gray color combo is one of the best looking stock tacos you can buy regardless of price. If I could handle the color upkeep, I'd do that in a heartbeat.

Its a truck, meant to work for hundreds of thousands of miles. $25k is enough for me. 265s coming tomorrow.

 

Moe2o4, where did you purchase the wiper switch? I'd like a new one not a refurb. Also, those certainly look like AT3s, how do you like them?

 

Can you post a pic if the back of the truck? Thinking about changing my chrome.bumper caps to black on my silver TRDOR, want to.get a better idea what it would look like.

Look up on cars.com 2016 silver tacos under $25k. You'll find a ton of examples of the utility package SR. That model came standard with a full black rear bumper. The version Moe has is a convenience package with painted bumpers, so his rear is painted silver.

Black bumpers on silver don't really look good to me. I'd suggest getting them painted in Sky Silver personally.

Ya I totally agree!!! You can buy pieces to pop on there that are color matched to the truck!!!

 

Good to know. If I end up buying one I'll prob be getting a sport or OR with the tech package so I believe that's part of that package. But good to know just incase. After seeing these SR's I might just buy one and throw some money to make it the way I want

I love my truck so far. Just put on some grabbers and it looks perfect. I'll post pictures today, got them last night.
Mine is a base Canadian model. Looks like an SR. We didn't get the work truck version.
