I moved to Grand Terrace in May. I think i just felt my first earthquake. Felt like the apartment building got hit by a car. the floor shook but im on the ground floor (concrete). Was it an earthquake? Did anybody else around here feel it? What a F'd up feeling.

Awhhh, it's not a f'd up feeling. It's a free roller coaster ride. Wait 'til you see the street with a wave running through it. It's be okay! If you can't tell, I kinda like 'em!

Believe it or not, they have them there too! I grew up in central NJ and I can remember a small trembler one time and thought WTF? Here, we just get em bigger and sometimes much bigger! It's all good. Remember, if we get the 2012 one, well, just getting to Colton will be like a trip to Hammers!

LOL. Dude I feel for you man. I am extremely traumatized by earthquakes. I fully experienced the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. Was on a 3rd story apartment building the entire thing started swaying to the point where you could not keep your balance (no joke, seriously). We ran out of the building and the electricity poles were bending and falling so sparks were all over the place and a powerline was going crazy on the floor after being ripped in half.

The aftershocks lasted way long and the aftermath was insane. This past year my wife and I moved into the 3rd story of our apt building and she felt her first earthquake which was pretty scary for her.

Yes they feel horrible. Most important thing is to keep calm and try and think straight. My wife felt the first one and tried to run out to our balcony (three stories above the ground).

It was a quick one, it was like the builing got hit by a car. It shook but it was over before i could say wtf was that. the catsand dog were acting weird then just laid down and 2 seconds later the building shook.
    :goingcrazy: < me during earthquake

Running to balcony seems like a super bad idea

The last big one we had that hit Chino Hills area, I was working outside and the ground actually waved a little and I almost fell. Crazy. That was only a 5. something.

I've been in one where you couldn't feel it and then again, I felt one that felt like there were high winds! - May have something to do with car's sidewall height too.

But you know it is a common occurance for trucks in that area to run into buildings!
