It was entertaining when the 3rd gens first dropped. I think some 3rd gen dudes are way too sensitive, and can't imagine that people don't like the styling of the 3rd gens. Then, when people criticize the new trucks, it's assumed that it's based on jealousy. Personally, I don't love the body style or interior. I do like the new 4R tho.

If you like your 1st, 2nd or 3rd gen, who gives a fuck what people think.

Azusa, Rowher or Hungry Valley are on my list, but I'm not locked to them.

Last I saw azusa had a 4 foot deep mud pit. Rowher, I am down but I want to start on the 4x4 hillclimb side. So the 2 wheel drive guys would have to go the "back way" up. And I bet people in hear will say hungry valley is over played.

Most of us have hand held HAMs. (see the "products discussed in this thread" below). They work really great. I may get a second one to have as a spare for camping/convoy trips to share with another vehicle. I might be looking into getting licenses for anyone that is interested so that we have a full range of understanding what these little guys can do. I'll post the information here for anyone that is interested (classes, tests, costs, etc...).

Hand held HAM radio's. You can get them off Amazon.
I enjoy both Row and HV but others are tire of HV. Azusa I havent off roaded in but they have had gnarly rains and I watched a video of mud trucks trying to clear out the first water crossing. They said it was 4 feet deep of mud. Only one mud rig made it through unassisted.

I don't mind Hungry Valley because it's close to me. Just that I wanted to play in the woods...

A bunch of us have Hams to communicate car-to-car. And no, I don't think any of us have a license to operate but we are all on the same channel and haven't had issue.

    Check the Baofeng's on Amazon.

You would probably like Rowher. It is in Santa Clarita and has some fun climbs. Not your go fast stuff

I'm as gun shy as you are with the go fast stuff. I know my truck can handle it, but I don't need to break something because I'm overdoing it. Some of these other guys are animals..

When you post in other threads: "Check out my build thread!" But don't have one...
