    This is my kinda thread!
One reason I opted for a tacoma beside all the obvious reasons was to get out into the tough places to reach and get more photos!!

Is this a Nova Socita Duck Tolling Retriever? I know this is off topic but, thought I'd ask. Is it a good dog? Breeder used?

^^ Good breed. Pricey. A Gollie - Golden Retriever / Bordercollie look similar and are also a high energy smart breed. I have a lab/collie cross and she's amazing.

Jealous! Got a new 100mm macro lens and ring flash, attached the 1.4x tc and was outside last night until midnight trying to get a snowflake shot, not that easy to do well done! I'm trying to capture on a black wool mitten.

You're telling me. Thought it wasn't ever going to get here. I actually called my UPS driver and asked him if I could meet him early to get it. lol

    Thanks!

Yep Toller, he is my old man at 12 and retired from hunting. Great dog I've been around the breed for ~30 years now. They can be a handful but I know the temperament well by now and how to train them. My youngest just turned one but looking like my best hunter by far.

Portrait last week of the pup using Golden Ratio from the weekly photo challenge on here, a lot of fill space not sure how I feel about the ratio for portraits.

For a first year hunter he excelled
    [IMG]

Of course only Tollers get to do Tolling....

At the US National Specialty this year. Dan Rode owns the #1 ranked Toller in the world right now and was kind enough to handle the pup in the ring for me
    [IMG]

Did OK at the Specialty he was the only pup to pass the BRT hunt test. WCX is certainly in his future. Master Hunter, maybe. Time will tell.

That moment when you get to the whitewater course and the water is wild and you're stoked to photograph it. You go back to the truck, grab the tripod and realize you left the quick release somewhere besides the camera bag and can't find it.

Glad this wasn't the planned night shots I have down for next week.

Wow! There just isn't anything like that around me. I seem to get better shots around here at night when you can hide some of the background.

Thanks! You talking about a pic or two of the camera or my photo's?

Buddy of mine had one of those but has gone mirror less now. Still has his MF film stuff also.

I shooting a D800 now. Just sold my backup D7000 set because it was just sitting in my bag and more weight to carry around.

I would almost always pick night over anything else. Just something about being out there alone, it's quiet and you can think about what you're doing without everyone around you.

Here's a few I've taken. You can see some more on my Flickr account. I don't upload everything but there is some on there.
