    Those 2 trims are different shapes and dimensions . A 90 degree corner would have made the chair rail profile the joint between the pencil and the chair rail .

    You just stick to drawing them , lol

    Then you end up with a round to round void . I always try to avoid that look where possible , and I think a coped joint looks better .
